kinda just want to let this one speak for itself, but i have an immense amount of gratitude to Napear for the time and energy he devoted to this song this week. his playing and production are so empathetic and tasteful and really got to the heart of this song.
thank you, Friend.
and thank you all for listening.

>>>if you haven't already, please stop over to Napear's Week 32 page and show him some love (he also used this song for his track this week since it was such a team effort!).  ( ̄︶ ̄)↗

>>>this song is for emily. heart and speaking of, i had a blast adding bass to her corntastic track this week: emily // the corn is high

Oh man. This is great. That cello is so warm and full then the flute? Fuckin hell it's so thoughtfully composed and beautiful. The vocals and harmonies are haunting and beautiful and then the spooky sad cowboy vibes at 2:10 is just incredible. Real Moody Blues vibes.
Great great stuff.

This was an absolute pleasure to work on.  Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful song with me, and I hope that my parts did it justice.  It is a wonderful song.  You should be proud sir...

Also #TIL, don't wait until that last minute to upload something you have done the day before... just in case something goes wrong and you have to do a last minute edit to the meta data to make sure that it can be uploaded properly...

Haunting and melancholy. Few words this week, just tears barely held back. Beautiful.

another great collab. Love the vocal layers going on. Cello on point. The change up around 2:15 an on is beautiful, haunting and beautiful. Well done JWH and Napear!

Very nice! Vocals are really great and the harmony just works so well. Nice work!

Since you split this submission between the two of you, I'll split my comment as well.
The vocal performance is amazing, I love the harmony you put in there.
Very sweet lyrics, too.

Gorgeous slow psychedelia! Totally the soundtrack for sitting on a hilltop, watching the cosmos.

Yeah, this is an extra nice one.  The lovely sounds all work in conjunction to create a warm, welcoming, and wistful feeling.  Particularly good vocal work on this.  One of my favorites of yours (and Napear's) I've heard this year.

Very Nice, a good way to spend a cloudy afternnon.

Awesome collab! The strings mesh really well with the wistful guitar strums. Love the string harmonics as alternating with the flute. Beautiful song. Certified WB Gold.

aww, nice dedication heart gorgeous chamber pop. Amazing vocals and the string/flute arrangements really elevate it.

So pretty. big_smile Great work, both of you!

Congratulations to emily, there are not many people in this world, who can write and play so sensitive lovesongs. Also you deliver fantastic bass stems too. The instrumentation here is magnificent with the flute and cello. Reminds me a lot of midlake. Supergood.

Lovely song. Bringing all the feels. Of love. Love is what's there. Love the orchestral parts from Napear, another great collab!

listened/watched the video first and gosh the imagery was great with the music.  this is a beautiful song yikes the strings and guitar with your vocals are just ooof! so soothing and calming.  Love the change up around the 2min mark.  The tremly strings with the guitar has such a nice progression and harmony.  Great lyrics too dang.  Giving this multiple listens so I don't miss all the delicate parts. awesome work from both of you heart

Melancholy Man is an all time favorite and the album it's on, A Question of Balance, is really excellent.

Wow. Beautiful. What a production to find on WB.

Love this one smile another jwh + Napear gem, ready for the album.

I’m really loving these collabs.  This one is especially soulful and emotive with soothing vocals, poetic lyrics, and Napear’s delicate, well placed orchestration.  Such a beautiful slow dance between the guitar, cello, flute, and strings.  Kudos to you all for this wonderful production.

Very nice another great collab.

very nice and I really like that folksy chamber music feeling this one has. Great stuff, all around!

Keep collaborating, the two of you have a great thing going here, beautiful blend of your two styles.  The lyrics on this one really resonated with me, have to listen again now and just take it all in.

The combination of various instruments and voices creates a wonderful atmosphere. It's a great song!

this is just beautiful, wow, i'm floored, already listened through three times
