M8: Dead Soul

By jimmac on September 4, 2022 4:49 pm

All built around this cool guitar sample -- https://www.looperman.com/loops/detail/297949/my-dead-soul-free-133bpm-trap-electric-guitar-loop

You hear that lovely reverb tail and go all in on it. Ran out of time to do something cooler for the beat. I feel like I could do with a bit of a holiday from WB smile But no, not giving up!

I don't deserve such praise, but am very thankful you listen to my shit and are kind enough to say something positive about it. Thank you so much for this corner of the internet.

Really a very good build up of the track. It is fun listening. the guitar is XX beautiful.

I'm really enjoying the washes of calm.

Was waiting for the guitar to come in, yup that is a killer sample, really like those bells also a very nice reverb on them.

Man loved this one, the guitar samples and that acid are kind of an ingenious combo—did not expect that to work as well as it did.

Lovely brood

+ perfectly placed plinkies

I was already digging the beat + giant growlbass when the guitar sample came in.  I don't know how, but the combination of those two together sounded great―until 2:32 came and blew them away.  The guitars washing back in after that felt awesome, especially with those high-end breaks.

I really need to learn how proper acid basslines work.  I can make patches that sound like them, but there's something about the sequencing that eludes me.

I know this feeling; it's exhausting and even though I think I've been getting progressively better at it, it still feels like there are costs accumulating elsewhere.  Probably sleep.

But no, not giving up!

Yeah!  I'm with you.

Thanks! I agree all the good stuff comes from the original loop.

Reverb fill, it needs some room, indeed.
