A quick follow-up to one of the first WeeklyBeats I ever submitted, from back in 2018:

Has it really been four years since then? Man, time flies.

i like the lush chords and the melody. the generic beat kinda takes the fun out of it.

It certainly sets a different mood.

Yes, those new chords are LUSH.  I liked the original, too―it's pretty cool you were able to wring that kind of sound out of QuickTime's GM library.

Vibe comparision:

Original version: late 90s home console game BGM
New version: bonus track remake for the CD release of that game's BGM tongue

the whole vibe is such a lush, beautiful, loveliness, so good. (are you in san jose?)

It's really interesting to contrast the two and hear two different eras of capy. There's something actually quite charming about that Quicktime GM library, you should totally reintegrate some of those sounds with your present work wink

Fair enough. Wish I'd had more time to come up with a stronger percussive component.

Nope! but it's a neat city. And thanks for the feedback - glad to hear the overall vibe worked out okay!

Yeah, I totally would if I could. But nowadays Logic crashes whenever I try to use that library. It's a shame, I miss those sounds a ton. sad But anyway, thanks for the kind words!

Love the long, lush chords, the way they spread out in long swells always makes me think of wide-open spaces and fresh air.
