a place to work in secret

By Jason Nijjer on April 26, 2026 9:33 pm

This one came together pretty quickly, still having fun with the microcosm emulation in vcv rack to add some sparkle.  Wishing everyone a wonderful week, thanks for stopping by for a listen.

A relaxed effortless groove, great sounding beat, scratches, and interesting vocal samples - that's a Jason Nijjer track! Great for this nice end of April. I am slowly head bopping while enjopying the track.

Hail yais! Loving the dark groove with the deep bassy pads and head nodder of a beat.  The vocal sample fits perfect.  This feels like a sci-fi show on film transformed into an awesome soundtrack.  Faved! \m/

The earcandy percussion against those soft warm tape pads sounds great. Lovely harmony too.

Mmm, this is deliciously wonkey vapor wave goodness.

Such an absolute vibe.

That quote is great as well and nice scratching.

Noir detective vibes, love it! heart

Dang I love those warbly melodies and the percussion is super tight. Great track!

good sparkly ingredients
makes me wanna play drums!

magical

It's everything one will ever need.

Is that the Hologram Microcosm that's getting emulated in VCV?  Such a great pedal.  I use it quite a bit.

Love the harmonics mixed with the static texture.  Lovely melodic elements through the track and a tasty snare.  The vocal samples work nicely too.

Head bobbing, and floating with these sparkly textures. Oh that warbly lead is lovely. Love the vocal sample. Microcosm emulation, wow, gotta check that out! Loving this. Flowing and understated, chill proper

I wish I had the actual pedal, but this emulation will have to do for now, if interested here is a link to the creator of the patch and the download of the patch file.

It's kind of cool how the emulation is made out of all the free vcv modules that are readily available.  VCV is a great platform for people wanting to try modular synthesis.  The actual pedal itself is really nice to use and has a bunch of different modes which changes the effect greatly.  Built in looper is also super handy for live performance.

I got their other one earlier this year; the Chroma Console.  Not as sold on that one.  It can do some cool things but the audio quality doesn't seem as good.  If you want lofi only though, pretty good.  smile
