Journey To The Sky

By Huabun on January 11, 2026 10:16 pm

Didn't have that much time left so I had to rush the mixing stage a bit, but otherwise I'm happy with this week's submission smile

Feels like an epic journey of beauty and wonder! big_smile

Rushing the mix suits you well! You said the same thing for final 2024 submissions and it was awesome too!

Those bass synths add nice tension. Yeah, the section at 1m50 might feel a bit crowded, still really nice. This is the only part I would probably tweak on the mix. Everything else feels on point to me.

Maybe just turning down a bit some hi-synths that cuts a lot anyway? I leave this to you, you are pretty good at this. smile

There's so many elements to love in this track, but I really want to call out how great the string orchestration's arrangement and timbre sounds in the intro/outros.  By the time it reached its full majestic tilt around ~2 min mark, it had already became my favorite of the week (so far).

Of course, Fiancé had already made me add it to our favorites by 1:02

Huabun's Adagio for Strings

dude, this is fucking awesome
and honestly, the rough mix adds to the feeling of speed
- Ebrit

Oh man, that opening goes straight to my heart. And then the slow buildup, damn... This is making me emotional!!!
Absolutely beautiful heart

THIS IS AMAZING! I love how the song develops as it swells, just really really really good work here.

oh i'm glad i just barely caught this on the discord

and that for some reason it was played this week?

this rocks

If someone had told me this was from a square enix soundtrack I wouldn't have second guessed it. Awesome work.

Really loved the transition between orchestral and electro-chiptune with the help of the bass. Very epic and truely enjoyable !
