The Future

Living in the future!

Grooooovvvyyyyyyyy.......

I was working on a nice ballad with tons of singing and I realized I can't finish it cause I can't sing cause I have a damn COUGH sad so as I was dreaming of the future, I came up with this song instead. Made with a backing track of drums and bass from SessionBand on ipad, then passed thru Logic for a layer of piano and vocal fx. again using the amazing UA spark plugins. Hopefully by next week my cough clears and I can record a beautiful ballad with nice lyrics from a dream.

Haha, I was just looking at Session Band this week―but this track is their best case scenario―only one of us can "owowowow" like that. Piano and vocals are superb for slightly different reasons.  cool

Get well soon!

You have nice session players! And also the future voices sound actually really cool!

Futuristic!

In the future, all there is is jazz, and I'm all for it
- Ebrit

Thanks!

I got half of them when they were reduced to 1 dollar. I should have gotten all of them, even without using all they can give, they are quite inspiring.

hey, you came up with a nice brazil-jazzy tone. it takes me more into the past of good music from there. but maybe it is our future as well. well done. best cure for your coughing problem.

Snappy jazzy in the present. Can't wait to hear it in the future. Lovely upbeat piano!

love how jazzy and fun this is - really really good mixing.  Love the secret FX in the background.

Lyrics:
hey!
WowowOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOW
ooooooooh!
stuck in the present
i'm in the future (i think)

The bass player is so tasty and groovy - very very very good. The whole band is really excellent, but my ear kept coming back to the bassist. I'd love to listen to this with the feet in the sand, in an evening on a beach at a terrace, looking at the sun going down around 10pm. Smooooooth.

Oh yea! There is so much good music from Brazil! I hope to get a chance to stay there for a while some time in my life to really live it on my own skin. The rhythms!!!

Thank you very much! No secret at all, it’s the Galaxy echo from UA and I play it with the feedback and rate knobs big_smile
Good transcript! Wowowowowowowo

Thanks! The band appreciates it smile:):):):)
I went and looked and it turns out the bass player is called Geoff Gascoyne and the drummer is Ralph Salmins. At least they’re the guys they sampled in the sessionband 1.
