anorak

this was an old demo i did last year and i really like playing it on guitar so i thought i should try to finish it as a song or something.
lyrics are about living in london since moving here a year ago.

verse 1
angel, what took you so long to spit indifference
dearest, this is the first that i’ve seen you recommence
angel, the wings that lifted you have withered away
baby, i don’t think anything could lead you astray

chorus1
first in line in the anorak
maybe this time you’ll get what you deserve
if you try enough times you’ll get into it
it’s what you deserve, and you’re getting less

verse 2
baby, i think these teeth of mine are rotting away
is this really everything that i have to say?

chorus 2
first in line in the anorak
wasting life with those losers from your hometown
if i think about it too much i’ll cry
it’s what i deserve and i’m getting there

outro
i walked to my apartment that night when the wind howled and the sky was crimson
you said you were heading eastward to see your friends
but my gut told me to reconsider and head your way
but by then they had already put your face in the dirt

good mathy noodling here!
opens up nice for the chorus.
end is a big pileup, huh?

that chorus wow so beautiful

u are the best, and i hope london is nicer and nicer to you heart

also i remember this riff, this is such a good song now!

That guitar riff is nice.

thanx! the end is basically just crushing a ton of guitar parts together w different types of distortion pedals and hearing how it all fluctuates at their limit, very silly

it's a very fun little tune to play, whenever i practiced i always go back to it and just noodle around on that idea because it has a nice bounce to it.

THATS MY GOAT!!

holy shit tammy i've never heard u make something quite like this this is so sick u wrote so many words

love the tones on this, very nice composition.

Great, kinda stumbly beginning opens up for the chorus. The vocals fit the mood so well.

i love this!

very emotive, i appreciate the jumpy/jigglu flow of the instruments with the smooth singing. cool

that ending made my head go all wobbly
in a good way

heart

lovely guitars and such a cool groove between the drums.  awesome changeup from distortion to the quiet cinematic moment.  oof that last guitar strum heart
