jetjaguar wrote:Hi, can I rename my track for 2026 week #1? I changed the title of the submission in time, but didn't realise that this would not reflect in the page URL or in the file name when the file is downloaded. If it's not possible to change these things, that's OK.
Only way to change that is to delete your entry, and upload it again using a late link (which i could generate for you)
manny wrote:Hey! I'm new to weeklybeats, just learned about it today but missed the deadline to upload this week's entry! Would love to participate
Awesome! you can start on week 2 if you'd like, or if you already made some music last week, i could provide you with a late link so you can still upload for week 1.
minaret_kid wrote:my track has a tail ov 1:30 unnecessary silence: asking for a reupload please!
sure thing, be sure to delete your track first (and copy your description) before using the link:

Glad to hear it!
polygloss wrote:I'm working on an album of 30-second experimental tracks, so that's going to be all of my submissions. I'm taking "this rule is flexible" to mean that there's an exception made if there's some kind of artistic vision at play here, which in my case there is.
yeh, it's flexible enough that you don't have to worry. Maybe mention it in your description.

Accidentally uploaded a segment file rather than the whole song. Can I get a reupload link? Thank you!
You still have time to delete your upload and upload the correct version. make sure you copy and paste your track description somewhere.

Sure thing, I didn't see any forum posts, and no uploaded tracks, so yeah, very much a dormant account.
They can sign-up again!

Done!
Conch Girl wrote:Could I get my username changed to "Conch Girl", please?
Sure thing! there ya go!
JaiClone wrote:Ollo
If it doesn't break previous entries or other such tech headaches and doohickery, may I have my named changed to JaiClone please?
It shouldn't break previous entries, so i've changed your name!
fierysyllabus wrote:Hi! I'd like to change my username to "fierysyllabus" for 2026 releases onward.
In preparation for your awesome Weeklybeats 2026 run (even though it's still 2025) you've been renamed! Go make awesome stuff!
PeterM wrote:This thread is such a trip. After all the name changes are implemented, it just looks like everyone is trolling Wisefire to change their name to their current name ... and Wisefire is just going along with it like there is no trolling happening at all and everyone is just super happy about the whole thing.
😆 😆, I'm perfectly happy to play along! "Sure buddy, you ARE batman! go catch some bad guys."
deeckzeven wrote:I’m dumb and wasn’t thinking. Can someone please change my username to: deeckzeven
Thanks you and I’ll try to be smarter.
Sure buddy, you ARE deeckzeven! go catch some bad guys. 😆 😆
george bowles wrote:i find the discord format confusing but i'll try, it just seems like a bunch of random posts with no topics like a bbs does.
It's more like IRC, Slack or even those online chatrooms from back in the day.
Squig wrote:Could you please change my name to Squig ?
You got Squig'ed!
Definitely maybe! #Björk
s.d.s. wrote:Well timed, cause I was juuuuuuuust about to get annoyed.
Joking aside: thank you.
🤣🤣 Darn, should've waited 1 day longer!

tysm!
With your name, it sparks images of digital zombies!
s.d.s. wrote:Is this post still monitored? Would love to change my username to “s.d.s.” Or if punctuation is not doable then “sds” is fine. TY
RPLKTR wrote:When I signed up I didn't realize usernames are case sensitive. If you could kindly edit my username to RPLKTR that would be swell!
bit rot wrote:I wonder if I could change my name to bit rot?
and my compatriots who have posted here before me perhaps could have their names changed as well?
many thanks 🙏
Done, sorry for the late (1 year late) reply.
Arise, s.d.s. , RPLKTR and bit rot!
Perhaps Bry wrote:Requesting a namechange too, to "Perhaps Bry". thx!
Well, perhaps i've changed it?
Correct, there is no active policing of this guideline. though it's good to have some length (or filesize) contrast between upload failures, or a incomplete render/bounce of a track, and normal tracks.
