The question is, Mr Aday, does it NEED to be at the forefront, or can craft win out?

Not putting enough care and attention into something that you care about scares me into thinking that it will do bad things to ones work - and effectively, kill it. (DEAD)
<-- Which I guess I've just proven to my self that this is true

Craft could maybe win out, but that could potentially be killing one's own creativity and SPRIT? by just staying afloat for the sake of staying afloat.. waiting until something happens or inspiration hits when space and time finally merge and everything aligns, and you actually end up pulling though with something that resonates well with the individual as someone who creates something worth while and can be happy/proud of again..

27 weeks to go....

I like to treat my art as just play. It really frees me up, as there's no tension about waiting for the right moment, for the magical spark of inspiration to strike.

I found this article really freeing - https://www.corita.org/component/conten … rules.html

As it says, 'nothing is a mistake'

omg i totally forgot to upload tongue, I made the song with 2 hours to spare, then uploaded to soundcloud but not weeklybeats! Could I have an upload link please?

I like the idea of using the ludum dare system on default. I think most people doing this challenge aren't in it for popularity, but rather to challenge themselves in a supportive group environment, so they wouldn't comment useless spam comments to try to push their track to the top. This way we also get more comments overall, because people have some kind of incentive to listen to and provide feedback on tracks. Remember that this should be part of the challenge, if no one provided feedback then this would be kinda pointless.

Either that or a random order on default would be nice.

Just for curiosity, how are the tracks being ordered by default right now?

im really more interested in WB continuing in to 2013, but considering Trash80 isnt real, that might be a pipe dream :-\

Just wondering, how is Trash80 not real? I came late so I'm not up to date with the admins and all that. I would love another Weeklybeats for 2013, there must be some admins who we can contact, right?

I really hope it continues the same way, as I only started this week and it was awesome!!!!!! The countdown is great for motivation, and the  community seems great. WeeklyBeats 2013? Admins?
