@Little-Scale excellent video, Track's hypnotic-value increased!
Seeing a bit of a trend here, however.
-- Use (as in, *really use!!*) some of this hardware I've either built or purchased over the years (but not limited to)
- CHIP: finish building and play with SammichSID
- MidiNES (Stereo Modded NES), LTC1799 Modded DMG, DMG vs Electribe ESX via MIDI Sync
- Use GEM Wizard 326 Organ -- break that. (break it lovingly) (just make good use of it!!)
- Circuit Bend and use my TR-505!!!
- Write some MIDI interface using an EEG kid's toy I've recently hacked to convert brainwaves to midi data via arduino serial data... (it's like a random number generator but not so random)
- Play with Renoise 3.0 Beta!!
- Learn and Play with AudioGL (!!!)
- Get better at Keyboard/Piano improv! (improve in general) (I stemmed from playing keyboard as a kid...)
-- There is probably heaps more.. I should get a whiteboard....
I want to also release some source when possible (XRNS, Processing) (aforementioned EEG MIDI thingy)
And....most of all actually release a song every week... without fail - no more unfinished stems, they can go somewhere too! (tho, feeling a lot more positive and actively creative about it this year)
Ok, today is record day, see you all in just under T-Minus 2 days to go! ![]()

another reason to live!
Would really love that...
I think after actualizing doing this in 2012 (wow, so long ago now))
That there would be a different approach to doing a song... now .. given some painful ways of learning to go about it in 2012...
pls give us the challenge back! - miss u weeeklybeats..
Stream! -- Might be fixing a few issues! with sound atm, so we start at 4:30

I can't wait to meet you and the LED's hheh ![]()
Wonder if I can plug somthing in from my Midi Though port on my sequencer and have it work with my existing midi data...
most intriguing ![]()
I got two projectors, could hook them up for ULTRA WIDE ! haha
I'll keep everyone posted about Monthly EPs once it's all ready to go. I'll post here and on the FB page Phil made.
Drumur: Coming to the WB party in Melbourne? YEEAHHHHH
I'm super keen to know any details about a Monthly EP.
me and a mate of mine have started a electronica band using some weird hacked around hardware (MIDI Drums from Band Hero etc) (were just throwing stems at each other at the moment)
But it would be an excellent motivator.
cool idea actually.
Done!!
If Derris-Kharlan plays some live chiptar, I'm mounting a camera to it!!!
If you want, It can be arranged
...
I'll record sets video and sync them up for later.
Derris-Kharlan rang me today! THANKS MAN!.
I'll make sure to setup multiple camera feeds and a line in from the mixer (and maybe a room mic?)
hahah
Also, anyone who logs into the stream I'll have the party hooked up to a projector on the wall for an embedded IRC or somthing, Virtually-global-weeklybeats-party-mode-interactive-party-from-the-future!
If anyone's interested, I'll run a PVR with Lineout from the mixer to capture sets. -- yeeeeeeeeeeeh!
wheeeeee!

I don't have a facebook but I got Derris-Kharlan number, i'm definitely gonna pop by!
I'd like to thanks ALL THE Weeklybeats 2012... I started late in the year, But learned a lot about my own workflow.
I missed many weeks here and there, but it definitely helped!
(I would not be the same without this site)
Personal thanks to:
Phil Harmonic on a few occasions where I missed the deadline by like 1 minute (I stopped doing that eventually! ermahgerd!)
Sharing pain with people in similar situations rushing/panicking and then reclaiming zen over their creations.
So I hope there's a weeklybeats 2013, in some form or another.
I'm keen to try and get it down for every week.. (Or every month!?) (or every fortnight!) but definitely want to keep a pattern of consistency up from the very *start* ..
I noticed a few of you might not be up for WeeklyBeats 2013 so I'd like to thank everyone who made this site what it is, It's been a nightmare and a dream at the same time.. and getting a comment on a track was often the highlight of my day hahah..
especially if it was a track i hated in the first place!!
I'm going to hit refresh on 1/1/2013 00:00 -- Hope there's somthing here ![]()
I think i'm looking forward to 2013 in many ways... Hope to keep that idea up.
I'm too obsessed with numbers and dates :\ (it's a bit of a curse!)
See you on the internet!!
That awkward moment when Reason freezes up and doesn't respond for a few moments after a take, leaving enough time to make a Whinge post... but then it finally does come back and the post is kinda rendered null, but not seeing a delete option on the post and already making a whinge about it so having to come back and edit the whinge post druing more 'waiting for response' moments...
