Even though I havent produced anything really awesome yet, I feel as if the weekly challenge is starting to take effect. The past two weeks, I have been able to churn out at least 2 random jams a day. Whether or not theyre any good....who knows? However, the practise is great! Maybe by the end of the year, I'll have something people will love!

I didnt really read the thread, but I assume it seems to be based on completely missing the point, the starting point anyway. I do not want to sound harsh, but I thought this was supposed to be about YOU, and what YOU can do with the allocated time each week. I joined to see if the challenge will help me become a better musician, not necessarily about sharing with other people, and def not caring if anyone likes the crap I have been putting up here so far.
I apologize if my comments seem harsh, because they are not intended to be, but at the same time I think it's essential to be honest.

I am sad I had to be out of town all week, as my submission this week would have been pretty good had I had more than a hour to mess with it, last sunday that is.

I uploaded today as well, but mainly b/c early tomorrow I leave town for a bit. Would have missed deadline if I didnt. This means my track was a first take, and unedited/perfected. Not bad, but it's still crap IMO. I do like the feel of it though, and def another project worth working on.

Lol. My wife is the same way. She also has a tendecy to tell me every POS I record is "awesome," and while I appreciate her supportiveness, I dislike not being able to get a real answer from her. I like it when some one can tell me when the blips and bleeps needs moar of an 8bit sound to them. : D

I force myself to record something awful everyday(except friday and saturday, work)and I uploaded the thing I liked the most. Probably sucks, but it was the thing I was the happiest with at that time.

I will utterly fail at making something decent, but my arsenal will be: Xpander, SEM, Voyager RME, Taurus3, tr808, tr606, 4 slim phatties and a metric fuck-ton of effets pedals/modules. I cant wait to hear what people come up with, this ought to be fun.
