well, ive been working on an LSDJ track for most of the week but today i randomly busted out my book of songs that have never seen the light of day and decided i needed to finally finish and record/produce one of them.  i kinda surprised myself.. youll just have to wait and see

I was really happy with my week 8 submission.  im not loosing steam yet, but i have had to reinvent my writing process a couple times in order to keep it somewhat fresh.  ive really been enjoying listening to how everyone else is evolving through the process too smile  great job guys!  keep it up!

134 started at week 1 and are eligible for completion within the original time constraint.  many have already missed weeks.  my bet is 24 will make it the whole year with a track every single week.  im hoping to be one of them but theres a long way to go :-X

MOAR OF EVERYTHING

moar of everything but suck.  less suck.  moar everything else.

at this point ive kinda given up on the idea that comments matter.  its nice to get feedback on my tracks, but i think focusing on my # of comments/lack of comments has been detracting from my overall enjoyment of the process.  being upset about comments and then thinking about why i was upset about it helped me realize why im doing this in the first place: to push myself to be a better musician/writer.  what really matters is how i feel about my progress.  every comment i get beyond that is just bonus smile

moar gameboy.  moar envelopes.

You got that right.

HAR HAR HAR. Amirite?

youareright.  har har har.

my song was an experiment and i feel like it went pretty well.  i need to work a lot more on my computer music though.  i feel rusty.  also, i am not cool.

thats a great way to approach art.  i suppose i understood something like this, but this "rule" really pulls it together.  thanks!

the track i made was hands-down the best lsdj track i have written yet.  time to do better.

classical guitar + computer music.  many more than 8 bits.

<---- feels too lame to be writing musics

perhaps a noise song evoking the awesome power and inherent lameness in writing music? or you could record yourself banging on stuff in your studio! wait, youve kinda already covered those..  pretty damn well too..  maybe something different? ^^

so i attempted to write some mixed medium stuff with guitar and electronic instruments but it turned out that i was a lot rustier at playing guitar than i expected :-\ so im working on another lsdj track to hold me over while i play scales.  but this time with more melody!  i may have neglected it a bit in my past few beakly weets

ive got an idea for a geometrically based collaborative composition if anyone is up to the challenge!  we can have as many people in on it as are interested.  it would be pretty simple.  any takers?

thanks for the mention!  "one note of zen" was a fun constraint to work with smile  i really enjoyed your track of the same name too. we should do something like that again, but maybe with more people this time
