So the first track is due not this weekend but next right?  Amazing how a little ticker can cause such anxiety yikes

Yeah, you start on the 1st, and finish & upload before the 7th. (GMT)

So that gives me a week to get the Elektron fixed :-P

I'd already worked on a tune for this week - so I guess I get to extend it for next ;-)

Wow... look at us all hanker for them links!  I'm gonner privately poke-a-mod (sounds dirty!)... brb ;-)

Yo!!  We had a storm yesterday that took out power and our Internet has been dead ever since :-(   Totally forgot to take the USB to work that had the MP3 on it!!

Would be great to get an upload link if poss.  Thnks!

ps. Just to reiterate... that's week 40.  (yay! I have my home internet back!  3 days later..)

Man, it sounds like you just need to be able to work on the go. In a train? Do 15 mins. Taxi? Bust out your WB. Accumulate all that time incrementally rather than in one sitting the night before deadline.

When you loose your track Moday at 12am it makes no different when you work :-P   I'd actually been working on a track I started in Japan October last year.  Got into a pickle as I was making final changes and accidentally copied the original 15 second sketch over the top of what I was working on.  Replace file?  Yes... I MEANT NO.... SHIT SHIT SHIT..!! (etc.)  You know the drill when you are tired...

i gotta say though, KORG Gadget has been a Godsend.  it's become my go-to tool for the "oh crap i only have an hour to do this" moments where i want to come up with something decent in the least number of steps.  in WB2014 i had no such tool to fall back on, and my year ended up being a lot more stressful as a result.

I think I need this tool!!

I'm on my balcony mixing shivering in the cold because housemate's already been up twice blasting me for making noise (it's 5am) and...  yeah... it's 5am and I have to work pretty soon.  Shit went pear shaped earlier on and I lost what I'd been workin' on from 8pm - 12am.   I've already slept though 2 meetings last week... did a full on no-show for a conference call and lost around $5k of work.  So I can easily say Weekly Beats is fucking up my life because I'm shit at prioritising / starting before the weekend.  But neh - I said I'd put music first this year.  So I fuckin am.  Boom.  If anyone else pushes though the same situation, I applaud you.  It's the only way we're gonner get though this without feeling disappointed.

suck it up, and release -something-, even if it's just some random junk you put together in an hour. No-one on the site will judge you for it

That's the part I struggle with.  I always want to make something that is good quality (to my ears) and I know while I'm writing that I could make something better if I just spent more time on it.  But health management is pretty important if you plan on getting up the next day without being totally destroyed!  In Australia the due time is 10am Monday Morning... which means you have all night Sunday if you let yourself slip.  I've had nights where I've just pushed on though and gone straight to meetings on Monday morning (still riding the wave), then sat down at a cafe afterwards and had the staff wake me up half an hour later because I've fallen asleep!!

I've found I have to make the cut off for delivery 1 or 2 am Monday morning!  And stick to it.  I'm struggling to do that... "oh, just another half an hour"... but yeah, there's a point where you just have to release -something- !  And knowing everyone is in the same boat helps.

Woah!  Chill!  Just drink a XXXX,  watch some NRNL for 15 mins, and it'll come back.

It's gotta be Australian internet (you on iiNet or TPG by any chance?)    Down here in Mexico I've been having some issues with time outs and tracks not serving too.  I jump onto my mobile phone hot spot and it works.  Usually if I leave it 30 or 45 minutes, it starts working again, although I did have a spell of a day where it didn't work at all.  But that's Aussie internet.

Damn it!  Your tracks are next level and have some amazing write ups to match :-P

Yeah - it's starting to interfere with life / health a bit.  A lot actually!  I just havn't had the hours recently.    I got mine done last night because Sunday wasn't an option.  I'm helping run an event today - but because I  was up until 3am - now I've slept in 3 hours with 4 missed calls.  I already ditched my mates music recital last night.  The idea was to make something "fast" but then I got into the track and my quality control kicked in. "Nothing else matters!"... and 8 hours disappeared.  That's the problem : not wanting to compromise the track in situations where missing sleep is the other option.  I'm glad I stayed up and made something I'm proud of, but yeah, letting down family / friends / work as a result.  Is anyone else having these issues?!

Can't resist a space comp!  Not sure where in the county I'll be or what equipment I will have so it might sound a little odd.  At minimum I'll just make a lot of sounds with a 20 second reverb on :-P

All over the shot!  Chip / techno / rave / jazz / fusion / metal / 80s rock / synthwave / dub.

Whatever comes out in the moment :-P

Completed WB2012 and it nearly destroyed me (and defs helped destroy a relationship) but it was a great musical year.  WB2014 started to divebomb mid way and I let it go so it didn't effect my work life.  This year I'm already hating my tunes / pulling last minute all-nighter and ready to quit!  Maybe other peoples tunes can inspire me...

I just hope he makes a follow up to Dolbears Law in 2016.

Oh f**k.  I don't know if I can do this week-for-week again!   But granted that 2012 took me to a next level; I feel I should at least do a MonthlyBeats :-P

Great to see some familiar faces though!
