No 4/4 sounds interesting. For a future week maybe tempo and/time signature changes in a song.

Looks like no 4/4 is a pretty resounding winner here. big_smile

absolutely no 4/4

Loving the no 4/4 idea, but I think it should encompass even more of the common meters such as 2/4, 3/4 (word mikememo) and 6/8.

The Theme for Week 5 is Absolutely No 4/4

Bonus Points for a time signature change in your song

More Bonus Points for doing a song in a time signature other than 4/4, 2/4, 3/4, or 6/8

Week 6 Selection is happening over here

I'd try and shoot for anything not in duplemeter. Compound time sigs and triple meters are fine.

Just like on 'Whose Line' the points don't matter.

I'm still going for the top score with 7/4 with two bars of cut time.

I might randomly generate a time signature by rolling two D20's (20 sided dice). big_smile

Just gonna point people to my week 4 for no 4/4, plus dense semi-rational tuplets smile

I will probably follow this theme accidentally anyway.

edit: although having said that, I realize I haven't actually done any non 4/4 tunes for weekly beats yet.

was doing the 2d20 thing back in 2012, it works surprisingly well!
