A whole nettle plant

By fetalface on January 4, 2026 11:05 pm

Roots and all!

heart great composition, happy new year fetalface

This would definitley feel right at home in Hylics.

fetalface it's so nice to hear your voice again!
nettle is such great energy to start the year with!
i heart a historical tale about folks who ate too many nettle seeds and were awake for days and days
may your waking life be filled with hapiness too

Yay, glad to see you back!

Wow - it's a musical nettle! At times flowing and elegant, but also not sure when it's going to turnaround and sting you. That deep pulse was great, carried the energy forward while the other ideas swirled around.

Let's go, it's WB '26!

omg i love this. hooray for new fetalface heart

Yes! Hi! 👋 That scratchy bass that inexplicably works with your voice is marvelous! This is great. Welcome back!

lovely tones floating around in this one, great opening for WB26!

Hello old friends! Thanks for the warm welcome, it is so nice to see you all here. Feels kind of weird and deja-vuey to be doing this again! I'm not sure my "music" is "improving" but it is fun to make it a practice. I like it better than journaling. Baby Steps! Now that game has a killer soundtrack, I'd love to make a song like that, maybe N_ron could do it! rayjkayj, I had not heard of Hylics before but I just cracked open a playthrough video and I love it so far (I don't play games but I like to watch) Thanks y'all I can't wait to listen to your offerings this year!

WTH this is the sickest video game soundtrack I ever heard! If not Machinarium or Samorost I guess

I also love Floex a lot, but I am also crazy into DVA who did Botanicula, CHUCHEL, Funny Game, and their records are delightful and their live shows (on YouTube) are awesome…

That said, the Mushroom Picker Dance off of Samorost 3 is such a banger! Thanks for reminding me of those smile

(Never played Hylics on account of not having a Windows machine, and sad about it cuz it’s been on my radar for a while, will peep the soundtrack!)

FETAL IS BACK!

WOOOOO

ok the beginning was super scary, but then less scary when the guitars and vocals came in

nice job!

okay now i gotta go listen to "doin the weirdo" brb

Digging the guitar parts. Welcome back!

Super cool! Mysterious.

Really enjoyed this one from start to finish smile

Love this!

TIL what a nettle plant is - new music and new information! Stinging hairs is a great metaphor for a bow scratching a stringed instrument, creating beauty in something turbulent. Love it!

fire

Roots and all! Oh nettles. I see it, taste it, an experience. Enjoyed.

This is unique. Started out like a horror track, then the poem changed the vibe to bizarre but no longer menacing, and the guitars after are just so dreamy. Such a trip in 126 seconds!

Glad you're back for 2026. Looking forward to what you make next.

Just the whole thing.

wow this was such a majestical and whimsical journey, thank you for the sweet ride heart

Nettles are powerful. And so is this track.

God I love this one so much. So minimal but effective.

This is delightful. Welcome back!

Oooh i love it! All the elements work so well together. And what a strange dream...

Good to hear you back and loved the journey this took me on.  Excellent heart
