So spacious! I love how big this sounds. In my head I hear a tempo-synced delay on the drums, adding them to the big cavernous space you’ve created here. Favorited! Keep it up.

i’m truly in awe of the beauty in your voice and how you process it: it’s like the voice is a beam of light and the reverb around it forms a beautiful aura, so reminiscent of moonlight for me.
also, i don’t know what else to call it, but that bitcrunchy sampled-sounding utterance interspersed throughout is like the perfect ‘gremlin’(like a little creature, cute and dangerous all at once) creates the perfect complement to this ghostly space. (lyrics hold that concise perfection, too)

› and then with the bass

exquisite!! heart

That's some surprising guitars, they go so, so well with your stuff.

the ancient ones should hurry up. we definitely need some help on this planet. this is an excellent song. the bass and guitarwork is impressive and fits with your work.

Very nice collaboration.

I love how big the ambiance is on this track. Well played!

I really like this one.  Everything sounds huge in the best possible way and it creates a really powerful vibe.  You have the perfect level of reverb on the vocals, too.

it's all vibration. thanks for bringing these ones to life.

yikes <-- my reaction when i heard this song

reminds me of the beautiful collabs of laura darlington and flying lotus

Love the feel of the 'snap your fingers' beat.  The combo of the guitar/bass and vocals really fills the mix out so well.  Especially with how it sits with the lovely verbage.  The whispers throughout add to the beat and take on a percussive quality for me.  Really cool idea using that.  Yais i like!

You already know why I'm excited! (So sorry I've not heard it sooner...) heart heart heart

That's way too much celebration for a song that starts with "we watch feeling helpless" -- my bad about that, but I'm not the only one. Your voice is CIVILIZATION and this track is, well, I'd say "sublime" but I recently called your entire repertoire on here that, so I'll go with "holy shit." smile

^ 100%, could not have put it better.

I mentioned Flying Lotus on an earlier track also, and now want to mention Trish Keenan's dreamlike delivery on Broadcast records (less about vocal similarly, more from the combination of electronic experimentation, left-of-field beats & absolutely listener's-soul-owning voice holding it all together).

Agreed with Tone Matrix - very cool choice of the snap beat. The voice layer and guitar layer work so well together, very nicely done. Atmospheric, experimental, smooth, laid back, with a pinch of anxiety. The whisper around 2:05 and 3:47 was really nice, surprising and grabbing one's attention. The vocal performance on your tracks are always top notch. Beautiful track.

really enjoy hearing your voice a little more up close and in front.  josh killed it on those riffs and the lead guitar lines.

agreed with tone and ked, the snaps were cool and unexpected.

i need to learn how to tempo sync delay on drums - i might be too bad at math to ever get a handle on programming drums

i now want make a moonglow reverb - or even reverbs for the different moon phases - has this been invented yet?

i really need to explore flying lotus - not sure how they were not on my radar...

ked - orange drink has me wanting to ask if i could use that on a press kit? should i ever make one...

ilzxc - tongue & blush/hidenow

You can try checking out Mr. Black Supermoon Reverb Pedal, although it's just a "normal" reverb.
One sorta doable weekend solution is to find a web scraper in python to pipe OSC (an open sound control format that is like a more flexible version of midi) data to something like Reaktor (which has a great reverb patch called SpaceMaster and easy to edit) or Pure Data (using FreeVerb, both are free and can be used as a pd vst). All of these projects exist already, you just have to cobble it together.
If you want to spend more time on it you could just make a custom VST using FreeVerb as your reverb and scrape the web using some C++ libraries, you could use JUCE for the gui, but it will take a lot more learning and coding. But it's a great idea! I guess you don't technically need a web scraper for moon cycles, but I think local weather condition data would be great too! A cloudy full moon sounds different right?
Also... anyone who needs a quick presskit should grab this, it's free!
Cyber hugs back!

soo damn good, that spacious and haunting atmosphere.. everything feels so well wound together around your voice, love it.

Your vocals are sounding lovely Emily. Jwh's guitar riffing is really cool.  I especially like the bass coming in after the halfway point. Good ending, and unfortunately too true lyrics.

thank you - i had programmed guitar and bass loops on this one that were not quite working & it was a neat process to work with josh to kinda work with those loop ideas to create new parts that fit even better with the song - i really liked the bass he did & almost added more cause i liked it so much but it felt more dramatic to have it come in at the 2nd half...

Great lyrics. HELP. yes. love the vocals, guitar and bass are great, cool collab!
