Drifter

Last week was exhausting. I spent most of it in Kentucky for work. Even though I had a mobile setup with me, nothing of value got done. Just wasn't feeling anything. I sat down today, fired up VCV Rack for the first time in ages, and let things happen. Nothing purposeful. Aimless wandering. And gradually something started to form. It was... okay. It would do. For some reason, the exported screen recording was noticeably slower and pitched down. Vaporwave-ish, even. It's a slight change, but I think the track is much better for it.

this is so relaxing heart

also:

you did a whole quarter!!! huzzah!

I've spent more than 20 years traveling for work, mostly half of the year out somewhere.

It is my experience that the better gear you're carrying, the least inspired you are to use it.

Probably on the next surprise work trip, when you don't even have a pair of decent headphones on you, hundreds of new ideas will come unannounced smile

Pretty nice rack arrangement. Nice beat smile

BTW: Sorry for not answering your Youtube comment on the spot. I keep on working on my RPi-based MIDI hub but these two weeks I was away and all music-related stuff had to be put aside. I think a basic form of functionality (like a software defined Emagic Unitor 8) could be achieved easily, though I work with Raspberry Pis model B (circa 2012) which do have Ethernet port, so I don't know if adding some USB to Ethernet adapter to an RPi Zero would be counterproductive or too expensive.

I'll keep you posted if it is your kind of thing

Great sound and a nice, languid vibe. VCV Rack is a complete mystery to me, so I believe you've created magic here.

Oooh yes love those lil gated pads that come in midway and float so nicely with the laid back drums and bass.  A bit of a kaleidoscopic feel with the melody and how it spirals and loops.  Totally zoned out enjoying this.

yup. yes. uh huh.
ALL RIGHT
cool meter refilled heart

yo this is so chill.
