Week 13..

So first just want to say I said the dumbest thing last week that I felt I had "exhausted Ableton 12 Standard's onboard instruments and effects." That's a complete lie because I've barely scratched the surface.

Second, I feel like I've misinterpreted what Weekly Beats is about. Even though its my fourth time, I think I just realized that its not about making a fully polished song in a weeks time frame. I know some people on here are able to, and sometimes things align well for myself but Its about just creating, not being scared of doing something different or trying something new in the sense of making music. I need to remind myself that going forward.

Moving along, I created this song yesterday in about 6-7 hours time. Its not finished and unfortunately I have become under the weather :\ So I've halted the work on that song for now and just managed to upload a somewhat idea of what would be the second break & drop and made it so it fits the minimum allowed time.
Good news is I'll have some time off work this week and I'll be able to get a head start on some new tunes.
(could really use a weekly cheat if I had the energy to install my old PC's HDD in my new pc, thats still in the process as I have some cool ideas on there I'd like to reboot)

Been playing a lot of video games lately. I just loaded back into division 2 since the DLC bundle is on sale. Dragon Age The Veilgaurd has been surprisingly fun, AC Shadows, Madden 25 and Skate.

Well that is all, promise I'll have some more full length tunes in weeks to come. I'll have a little extra time this week so I'm excited to hear everyone's tracks.

Take care, Cya next week on...Weekly Beats!

Hah I love this, SUUUUUPER 90's feel. Super awesome sample, fucking excellent bass , kick, pad, swooshes, mix is popping off. Man I aspire to be able to make something that feels this put together! Very excited to hear full tracks! Great track!

Man just relistened and this is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO good!

It means a lot hearing your enjoyment from music I've made. Honestly, makes me happy that I can translate some good vibes to you in the form of sound. I will have a full length version of this in the future, I already have 3 minutes planned out but not much changes so I sent what would be the second break / drop and tailored it to the submission length. Thanks for the stellar comment bobbyd smile

The bass, the kick and vocals are very 90s indeed!

WB is definitely different things for different folks. The thing we have common is that it's nice to have a streak going. But the real prize that brings is that end up practicing your hobby on a regular basis. And indeed, trying new and different things.

The streak is motivating for sure, but WB is a torture experiment for artists lol, good to hear the vibe in my song translates well.  Miss those days. Thanks electronic_tiger
