Mon père est plus fort que le tien

Et ma mère aussi.

Had only a phone recording track from the rehearsal local in the bag this early Sunday. Didn't want to "only" upload that as I did last week so I did put a bit of time to build around it.

Did load that into Reaper this morning listening to the Olympic hockey Canada-USA game. (Congrats to your team, you didn't play better than Canada, but took the opportunities when it counts)

Did tempo map the live performance, then did build eBass - Mellotron - E-Drums around the track. Did try Stems separation on my initial track to have some mix latitude, but it has lots of artefacts, didn't like our raw rock... I still used it to double - beef - reverberize the guitar on some sections.

Just a shot from a cloudy-misty day from my office view

The live jam phone capture:

Fitness journey, boring stuff, same as usual. About 7h of cardio, weight is pretty much the same at 89kg KG... I hope I'll be able to get down to 88kg next week because if I don't, it will be a month without any cut (which isn't bad as I still find the energy to get at it, go to the office biking and add more cardio from home so let's go...)

Sounds huge!

How ya feel about this one?

thanks for the almost acknowledgement of the USA team??????????  lol heart

LOVE the linn drum, more of that please!  very cool
great slow down at the end - really great blending of synth/e-drum and guitar/live drum

Drumming was really nice and it sounds cool layered with the e-drums. I think the mix came out well smile

Honestly thought the drumm guitar intro sounded like a sneeze, which is an incredible intro.
Love the love drums, they sound so good!

très cool le drum électronique ! particulièrement aimé l'intro

laughed at the hockey comments. you should feel a lot better about this than the hockey final. feels tight for a jamming session and sounds great. your friend didn't want to stop when you did!

I don't know yet!

It was fun to do, I liked to mix up programmed drums and my initial phone recording... I feel the bass lines does work all right. But I'd like the guitars-drums to be better recorded. Still, having fun coming back at it and listening to what the track became.

Hey! You guys did win in the end. It did piss off many Canadians for sure... I actually do not care that much, as mentionned, I was doing my weekly beat at the same time so concentration was not much on the game.

And yeah, that Linn Drum (and other drum machines) pack I purchased for my addictive drums plugin have fun samples in... You know I like to record my acoustic drums and I feel it is really "unique", but mixing up things are fun indeed. Thanks a lot for the kind comment!

Thanks a lot! I'll try to find time to "feel" your track so I can track on it, but it is not an easy one for me! Yeah, mixing up eDrums and acoustics was fun.

Thanks, this is a "non-finished" tracked so we just play with it at the moment. I don't know when or if it ever will be properly recorded, but I hope so as it is a very fun track to play.

You guys rock, thanks for the comments.

I always welcome a cool jam. C'etait bon ca!

i love the organ sound in the intro that sounds so big ! drum combo is cool too, always love your live drumming heart cool jam!!

I really enjoy the contrast of the rough instruments and those sweet melancholy stringlike sounds added to it. There's something wistful about it.

oooh that organ sounds good n phat! Love the groove of the guitars with the drums. \m/ a very cathartic feel!

cool mix of textures, djippy  \m/

Nice, I actually really like the demo feel of the guitars and drums, and the organ is super awesome, too!

Whoo, didn't expect the strings there. Like that, takes a bit off the tension.

Love the opening organ and then the jam session comes in so hard. Love love love that bass.

Yeah cool textures. Dig the organ. Rock on!

I like this one a lot despite the lack of Rock! In the description like prior weeks I think this one rocks hardest. Outro wind down is really nice

Cell phone recording does the job!

Yeah, I feel I'll go the "mellotron" way for a couple more track this year as it is a fun sound and is a fun addition to my electric guitars and acoustic drums...
