Messing around with synth textures, bit of a departure this week. Might sound better in a car at night coming over the ridge in Chattanooga. Somebody near there will have to let me know.

This is awesome! Has a melancholy feel, but still an optimistic one. Love that bass, and the guitar is perfect. My favorite part is probably that mallet-y synth that comes in at ~1:15

what a pleasant jam! how are you recording and mixing this stuff? are you recording anything live, or all of it live? the mixes are so clean!

I'm not even close, but I can hear from here it's quite nice

Thanks... that mallet-y thing is Animoog Z on an iPad, likely pushed through some delay stuff, can't remember

thanks... I really work to try and make things feel live even when they aren't. I like a natural, human feel. But this one is mostly played in AUM on an iPad and saved off in chunks. So a little bit live? but mostly generated and assembled. The drums are from an app called Percussive that is limited but man it has a live feel to it that IDK how it does.
