Interlude

By djippy on April 24, 2022 7:08 pm

Just some chords and simple melody from a rhode plugin. Added some light drums and just a bass to add weight to it.

VoilĂ .

I dig the mellow vibe and the organ chords create a nice texture.

The low end makes this feel so heavy. Not metal heavy, but like, crushing-my-skull heavy. Nice.

Sometimes chords and a simple melody are all you need. Nice work man!

A beautiful interlude. Love, how your drums sit in the mix.

That's all you need. Warm and fuzzy. Rhodes can really fill the space out nicely.

Simple, but effective.

Beautiful!

Perfect execution of the mentioned tools, really enjoyed this one, like how you can hear each element clearly through the mix.

Nice sounds here, and really really great drumming!

Nice sound on that rhode plugin. And some creative drumming to go with it, this works!

wow bass + rhodes are really effective.  a lot of depth.

Ah I love the chill, toasty vibe of the rhodes. The drums and bass sit well in the mix, adding additional warmth. The gentle rolls on the snare at a lot of nuance too.

Thanks a lot! I do like rhodes a lot, if I had loads of money I would find an hardware one for sure, but plugins are super cool too.

Listening back to it with headphones that have good bass response, I feel that I probably add too much of the bass, but it is all right... And yes the point was to add weight, so mission accomplished!

I love rhodes, maybe one day I'll try to find one, by the mean time plugins are super awesome.

The less there is, the easier it is to have clear mixes...
