Duo Rock

By djippy on August 4, 2024 7:48 pm

This was one of those weeks where I couldn't find motivation to sit-compose-record new material so I opened one of those rehearsal jam recorded with 2 microphone within the local and picked a little part for you!

It seems that they always get good feedback so why not!

JPD (myself) on drums - Rode NTK room mono mic in the room on the kit, Niko on guitar, sm58 on the guitar cab. Added some reverbs and loads of compression.

Live in the 354 local of LA CITÉ 2000, Montreal...

Rock n' roll!!! The drummer in the picture has a very interesting setup!

DallE wonders! (AI generated images from text prompt)

Close enough!

Great jam! You're both playing to each other really well - I like how the guitar stayed in the lower register so as to not make the riffing feel too thin (since you didn't have a bass). Rock n roll duos FTW!

Ah yeah c'est du bon. La batterie qui a plein d'energie, un bon riff qui degouline de fuzz et de rock. Ca c'est un bon jam!

Niiiice! Listening to this stuff always makes me so happy knowing people are havin' fun just jamming together. It really is such an awesome feeling to get other people together to make music.

Love that guitar tone. Great jam you guys really work well together.

such a great feeling to lock in with another musician like this, made me miss playing live with drums crashing beside me. nice one!  \m/

awesome feel n sound with this rock groove!  Gave me some Black Keys/White Stripes-vibes.  \m/

It reminds me of my golden days in rehearsals celebrating being loud. Used to record it on cassettes with a boombox those days. The sound is very good captured in your track.

Rocks, two of them. It works really well for sure, and why wouldn't it. Two great sounds doing what they do best.
