All we could be (HoolieBrown drum challenge)

By djippy on May 2, 2026 3:34 pm

This one started with last week HoolieBrown "stripped down" track. He did mention that he started trying to build track with the m8 with an orchestration that didn't work at first. Listening to the track, I did think I could add a little drum track in. Reached out to him, recorded drums over the track. He then did track over a nice little bass line as well. We shared stems, I did then a "relatively" quick mix and exported this for you guys.

Happy if some of you probably discover HoolieBrown work as he did some very cool track this year. He have some really strong songs in and a couple synthwave inspired tracks as well if you guys want to dig in.

It was my "lazy" path for this week track, but I actually put quite a bit of care on the mix and it was fun to do. Thanks a lot to HoolieBrown to let me do this.

Like any "Man", I have to post a picture of my ride. Did find a Decepticon sticker to put on it, I find it fun. The other car at home have the Autobot one so they are ready for a war...

Fitness journal. Not bad, about 5h of cardio. Eating was not super healty tho and yeah, still hitting 92kg, Going from 98,5 to 92kg wasn't to bad, but I am having a hard time to be disciplined enough (both exercice and 'diet') to keep the trend down. At least I feel I am in decent shape cardio wise as I didn't bail out too much.

Excellent addition to the original.  Your drums give it an extra laid back feel with his guitar and vocals. \m/

Lovely track!

Wow...I had said that I thought it was stronger as a guitar/vocal solo, but I love what you did with this. Perfect job of hanging back and giving a bit of a pulse and accent - and that subtle bass anchors it all really well. Nice teamwork...love when stuff like this happens on WB heart

And to echo djippy: check out HoolieBrown's posts if you haven't yet! They're fantastic songs.

A solid edit.

A nice collab.  The drums are a very tasteful addition and the mix sounds great.

nice one. your drums compliment this warm tune. i really like the snare sound. will have to check Hoolie's version!

The drums really highlight the vibe while not taking over, well done!

Thanks a lot. It was one of those weeks where I didn't feel too much like composing so it did work all right.

Thanks for the comment. I still feel the song is probably better only Guitar - Vocals, but I am happy you like this version as well!

The drums fit the track great! I actually didn't realize they weren't original till I did some basic reading.
