Was going to try to make something cool but made this instead. Minimum effort on this and it shows, but I was fighting the flu so whatever. Fingers crossed next week will be different.
My approach here was to pin down top melodies across pretty the whole song before adding any supporting layers. This was to avoid getting stuck on one loop then having trouble making the next loop. My mantra was "go broader faster". I also tried to hold in my head an awareness of what the next step would be. No matter what I was fiddling with, I could also know "when I finish this, the next step will be to do X". This helped me maintain a sense of momentum. This was all done over a really basic rhythm keeper drum pattern that I had fully intended to redo, but in the end just kind of left because I don't stamina to make different drums, so, yeah, I made a thing...
