Noodle for the New Year

By NineRowBlooms on January 2, 2026 12:43 am

A hopeful little ditty to start off the year. Not the way I wanted to start - the drums were the beginning of something I was hoping to build entirely from scratch, sounds included. But I'm moving house and job hunting and it's holidays and everything is crazy. However, I had a jam with some friends on NYE and it reminded me that not everything has to be in A minor. So here is a small offering of happiness and hope as the calendar refreshes for another year.

I dig it! I have to remind myself often that gratitude (like happiness) is something I have to practice, not just experience. I hope things get settled soon, and in a minimally stressful way!

Thank you! It's going to be a ride. But I have a lot to be grateful for - not least Weekly Beats!

I love the sound of this synth and the arps/delay really fill out the space without seeming crowded. The bass and percussion follow along without crowding it. Hope your moving/job hunt both turn out as awesome as this track!

What an optimistic noodle. Feels light and sunny.

I'm pleased! Yeah I used to think of things like gratitude meditation as hippy s**t but as I get older I guess I'm just slowly turning into a hippy? Thanks for the wishes!

Thank you for listening! The bass and synth are actually the same sound on the S-1, just turning the sub off and on. It's an awesome little synth and I want to use it more this year.
