Wow, this ended up being a lot more work than I set out to do! Good thing it was a long weekend.

Earlier this week I heard orangedrink - When It Snows, and I really enjoyed it. I was inspired to borrow Drew's idea and run in my own direction. So, shoutout to Drew/Orange Drink who gets a co-writing credit on this one, even if he doesn't know it yet! Thanks, buddy!

Also, thanks to theaeon who helped inspire some of the bass parts in here. I guess I was drawing from the midwest for inspiration this week, because we definitely haven't seen any snow out here in Arizona.

I hope you all had a restful holiday weekend. Five more weeks to go, let's do this!

Dude this is awesome! I love everything about it. Nice use of Orangedrink's lyric in a new setting. The horn part is super cool. Wasn't expecting that! You can really write great rock songs. Also your slightly overdriven guitar sound is great.

This is really cool because I can hear quite a bit of new things going on here that I haven't heard from your previous songs before. The use of the horns as a central element for some of the builds sounds really great, especially in that outro piece (very Steven Wilson-esqe crescendo). I really like the subdued quality of the guitar tone during the verses, with that little melodic motif adding a lot of character to ending of the verses. That drop-out interlude at 2:20 is really good and I especially appreciate that the ending chorus is actually a variation in the arrangement while the vocal stays intact. Great job on your track this week, the hard work paid off.

literally got teary eyed hearing you sing "i always think about you when it snows"

devastating lyric: "I can't bring you back, but you're back with me every night"

and then the HORNS omg SO EMOTIONAL

incredible.  I've been remiss on sending you some trumpet samples for our collaboration, but this is better than anything I could imagine.  WOW this is such a huge song, in terms of the content, the sonic qualities, and most of all, the emotion!

Oh man, this is so good.
- Spider

Your version is so good, definitely feels like you.
- Devieus

This is packed with so many good feels. You're awesome.

I was sich this week and didn't take time to listen on weekly beats but coming back to listen to this and it is probably my favorite from you yet this year! Hats off!.

Bien joué.

Woo I'm so glad you liked it! I kept telling myself that it had to be good enough to be worthy of stealing your lyric, and it pushed me forward

I love to hear that! It's so hard to tell which ones are my favorites and which ones are just the most recent, but I think this one is up there for me also.
