Nostalgia

Really went down to the wire on this one. Didn't have time to balance out the mix like I would've liked. And I accepted some sloppy takes because I was running out of time. Go-Go-Gadget Ozone Elements Master Assistant.

This was my first time trying to play a bass with fingers instead of a pick, so that sounds pretty iffy too.

That jam out at 1:42 is awesome. It's a really nice burst of energy that contrasts nicely with the stuff that came before. I really like the lyrics of this one. The bass and vocals sound really clear. Drum sound is great as well. Organs are a nice touch! I think this is definitely one of my favorites of yours.

The finger style bass works really well for this type of tune. The guitars coloring the edges of the verse are a really nice too. The bridge is powerful. And as always, you're a god damn poet and your lyrics continue to impress me each time.

Memories are crazy like that, I'm still finding some old ones from time to time in Dev's head.

This was delightful!

Solid track again!

I do love the bridge with organ.

Thanks a ton! I tried to keep a steady energy build throughout the song to get to that bridge, and I'm happy with how it worked out. Glad you enjoyed it.

This comment has been making me smile for two days now. I've been focusing on lyrics this year more than I thought I would from the outset, and I really appreciate the recognition.

Thanks, mate!

Considering this is with 'sloppy takes', this is tight! Nice work!

It'll always be a mixed bag, but they seemed to be positive for the most part

Great track and solid arrangement.  Vocal harmony section is great!   I throw master assistant on everything, usually 20 minutes before the upload deadline:) I usually catch all of “my lack of mixing” mistakes after uploading, when I’m listening on a different set of speakers.   Balancing the creative output and the polishing up stuff for uploading has been the most difficult aspect of weekly posting for me.  You seem to have figured out a good workflow for this.

I like how most of the song is a build up towards 1:40 onwards - between the guitar and the drums. And when it finally explodes/releases, that's very satisfying.

I could relate a lot to the lyrics. You captured that feeling of looking back at these people from a long time ago, how blurry the memories are, yet how we still get this fuzzy feeling of memories, good time, fire in the eyes. It was really nicely captured.
