Funky Lizard Stomp No. 3 in Fb

Got a late start on this one. Not sure where I was going with it but definitely had fun with the octavizer effect.

Great riff!  Love the stereo width too (double tracked?)

Really liked around 2:30 when it got super syncopated. Also the last 30 seconds or so rocks very hard. Love when the harmony lead comes on top.

Octavers are so nasty sounding, love it's use here. There's some cool dissonance at the begining and the kick patterns are cool. Almost goes kind of Buckethead towards the end. Or Primus. The mix on your guitars is sounding good too!

Proggy goodness all the way through.

Haha yes, that octavizer really beefs it up. Dirty and fuzzy. Cool riffs. Like the tempo changes towards the end, picks up and pumps up, before breaking that dirty break down, nice work!

Thanks! And yeah I did quite a bit of double tracking on this one. I almost always double track rhythm guitars now and this time I double tracked some of the melodic riffs as well.

Thanks! I had a lot of fun coming up with that part at 2:30. The last 30 seconds was fun too. I think this is the closest thing I’ve had to a breakdown thus far.

I’ve actually been listening to Primus again recently so that’s definitely was an influence for this week. Glad the guitars sounded good!
