Lost Map

By bc likes you on February 8, 2026 5:11 am

...you've found a way in to the Sunken Forest days ago and lost your map

I wanted to do something more up-tempo and like OG bclikesyou. Used the mid-west emo tuning (DAEAC#E) and had fun with this one. I spent the weekend at an airbnb with a bunch of my game dev buds. I decided to take advantage of the location and have my friends record vocals in a sauna.

Vocals: Me (panned L 100%), Ben (panned R 100%), Monica (Centered)

i love the idea of each panned vocal being a different singer! really nice and upbeat

relentlessly upbeat & catchy, i love it!
also vocals recorded in sauna?? i'm jealous

You definitely nailed the upbeat vibe you were seeking.  The multiple vocalists sound great together.

i love that panning heart really nice idea, guitar break at 1:06ish is absolutely chef kiss too smile

Delicious upbeat catchy driving guitar pop. Inject this right into my veins.

It hit me when Ben and I sang the same melody and then Monica did a harmony. I was like "oh that harmony should go right down the middle."

one dose commin right up

The electronics, rock backing, and vocals all keep the piece from being typecast in any of the three directions - I dig!

Hell yeah for the OG bclikesyou vibes! Love it.

forests are very tricky to map, but also, if you go straight, you'll eventually hit something
This guitar tho, very easily finds its way into my heart
