Wonderfield

Lots of weird new things hidden in this track.
I've been picking up some hardware for a noise performance in about a month, and this features an 'Ovum' which is just a tone generator and a very fun resonator thing called a Wingie2.. I didn't use them much, but they are warbling away in the background.

The rest of the track is my usual mix of things.. I wanted to capture some guitar tones I don't usually go for, and a bit more 'live' that I normally would too.

I also used something called 'compression' on the drums, which is something I forget to do often.. so now you can hear them! Maybe..

Art:

Whatever this mythical thing you call "compression" is, it seems to be doing wonders on these drums!
Incredibly vast and spacious track here. It feels like going off on an exciting adventure by yourself, but knowing that your friends will all be waiting for you when you get back.

Solid work again. Really like the bouncing melodies.

When it kick in at the 1m10 mark with drums, it really opens up. Very cool.

And yeah, we do hear the drums quite well!!! smile Slow attack heavy compression is my secret weapon for big drums... smile

oooooo, that opening sent me. This is so magical! Love  way it expands outward just after the minute mark and then just explodes and goes hard.

Love the sound of the bass with those dreamy guitars especially when the drums punch through.  Really nice use of the woodwinds to open it up even more. Love when the bass is digging in with the guitars at the end.
Epic feels throughout! \m/

i mean.... WOW
also... HOW

and, ah yes, COMPRESSION. i should look into this  wink
seriously, wow

This is absolutely beautiful!

this is really beautiful. love the guitar solo, i think, whatever it is it is amazing.

So uplifting!

Truly wonderful, honestly chilling and the woodwind works surprisingly well.

Great lead tone during the guitar break and the feel of the song kind of reminds me of The Cure and then late Pink Floyd in a weird way.  Great work putting this together in a week!

This track is so captivating! I'm so glad I came across your work, it's so nice to hear and I love the graphics you make for your songs
