September Implies So Much

By Chris Dotson on February 16, 2014 8:00 pm

I'm on the verge of some hectic weeks and I thought I'd go with something relatively calm before that hits. This track is based on an old work in progress that I'd been hanging onto for years.

The track is mostly built around some very old guitar sounds that I processed using homemade Supercollider software. I did a bit of additional layering in Ableton and added some low tones from my Korg MS2000 to round it out.

Enjoy.

this makes me wish i was laying on a rooftop looking up at the stars, but seeing it in that time-lapse motion speed with the fisheye angle smile  oh and i like the bassy organ sound too, well done!

this is nice work. I like the rumbling, haziness to it.

moving

This is nice. Ambient, but still melodic and gives a feeling of movement. Thanks.

stargazing tunes right here. saving this one for summer outdoor evenings. love the ms2000.

I love it when stuff like Supercollider comes up. Really nice track too.

outstanding.

Beautiful track, really like how it's calm but continually moving and changing just enough.

Gahh my MS2000B has been covered in dust, clothing, and hot sauce packets for far too long and you just made me remove all of it out of guilt, thank you. This is a great piece and really shows off a more ambient range of the synth that I wasn't aware of! Love the overall progression of the song, every once in a while a new instrument / sound will pop in for a bit and make its presence quietly known and then retreat back into the soundscape, I really like that.
