Got a second-hand Arturia Microfreak thursday, but haven't really clicked musically this week, so this ended up being a simple sunday evening effort putting some of my patches to use. Recorded through a T-Rex Replicator tape delay into Cubasis on the iPad.

Congratulations on getting a Microfreak, I genuinely feel perplexed about the notion of a second-hand MF, that machine is a gem.
Is everything MF on this? The pads are very very very nice, the bass is fantastic, and the glitchy sound sounds very familiar from my own playing around on the MF.

Thank you, glad you enjoyed the sounds here (they’re all MF). The Freak is indeed a gem, the layout for creating (and manipulating, even if it was kept at a minimum in this particular case) patches is outstanding, so it’s an unquestionable keeper. Playing chords without mistakes is bit of a learning curve, as you can’t feel your way to the right keys without mistriggering notes (two hands for three-note chords ended up being the solution here), but it’s a sweet addition to regular keys and something that will force some welcome variation to the approach of making music.
