Hace Tiempo

By Zatelite on January 21, 2024 7:35 pm

I would have liked to dedicate more time to the guitars, but a mishap in the kitchen ruined my plans, yesterday Saturday I cut my index finger on my left hand. Even so I was able to add the guitar solo of the final part and some arrangements (with three and a half fingers haha). Better that than nothing.
With the production I'm not happy, my mixing and mastering skills are null LoL.

The song is dedicated to my father, who passed away just 3 years ago heart

Lyrics:

Hace tiempo
que no se nada de ti
Por si acaso
Muchas cosas por aquí
han cambiado a mejor

Hoy he vuelto
a disfrutar la sombra del limon
que sembraste
en el patio de la casa

Descansé en tu sillón
cómo tú solías hacer
Cuando pienso en aquel día
me enveneno y echo a correr

Hace Tiempo

Crushing those guitar solos as usual! Great song mi hermano.

Nice job on getting that solo a finger down! Really like those backing vocals, adding a lot. Cool and catchy chorus too. Nice palm muting to break it up. Cool tune!

Thanks! 🙏🏻

fantastic vocals and guitar work!

Coming from someone who's also generally unhappy with his mixes, I think this totally sounds fine. I think you got some nice dynamics from the verse to the chorus (as well as the stop at 1:47), and the individual parts sit well in the mix. But I totally get how probably the song you heard in your head and what you got were different, so I'd give it a few weeks and revisit this and you'll probably be happier with it smile. Great song overall, I love the combination of the more forward/aggressive voice being backed by your higher vocals. Excellent vibe throughout and great ending guitar solo with the vocalization!

Well yeah, the song I have in my head is not the one I hear in my mix, but I don't beat myself up about it either haha, I'm glad you mentioned that the pieces fit together, the truth is I had all those pieces in my head without being very clear on how to fit them together... seems I more or less got it. Thanks for comments!

Great song and guitar playing, and great vocals as well!

Great harmonies! The breaks around 1:45 are great. A perfect time to break things up and shake things up. I really like the bridge section. The rhythm and intensity, and the way it builds into the solo is magic. The break before the ending was a neat callback to the earlier one, and an unexpected and interesting way to end it. Nice job!

Awesome vocals and guitar work! Super upbeat and energetic throughout. Love the build-up to the ending guitar solo.

Thank you men!

Enhorabuena!

I don't know what this 90's sitcom is about, but the theme is a bop.
