Amazing. Really pulled me into cosmos.

ambientlicious

Dude, the sound design is fantastic, and the development through out... such a journey.  Great opener.

nice vibes! well-mixed and instruments are well-chosen, particularly the swirly drones 2/3 of the way in.

This is fantastic. Reminds me of that underwater track from donkey Kong country but if was swimming in space.

Nice track to kick off the year.

Back!!! Nice start to the year.  Clean production and full of distant memories.  Welcome back to WB smile

Frozen snowy vibes (might be because it is -25 C here at the moment), cool!

Wow, this one gave me chills. Nice!

what a cool track! such a wicked vibe!

Yo! It does have a snowy / frozen outerspace vibes!

Banger!!!

thats a sweet gift, nice track! smile

The lead arp/delay is beautiful over the pads. This one is thick with audio goodness morphing all around. That first snare hit energised me like no espresso has

I listened to part of this during the Weekly Meets session yesterday and remembered it being awesome. But I'm really glad I came back to give this a proper listen, because it's SO GOOD!!! The dark and slow opening is amazing! I'm super impressed with how you're able to take the listener on this slow burn voyage and it never gets stale at all! It just feels ominous, dangerous and full of adventure!
Welcome back to WB, my friend! super stoked to hear the amazing stuff you'll come up with!

Solide pads.

such a calming feel to this and love the opening pads.  The drums sound great too.  Well done!

Great atmosphere and vibes! And tasteful restraint with the percussion--sits nicely with everything.

Very nice, and lovely, warm tones.
- Devieus

I second Napear - great sound design! I like the dynamic panning, which really give a 3d feel to the music. That kick at 4:35 hits HARD. Great track to start the year.

Absolutely huge. Large ups. Glad to see back here for 26.

I was thinking about getting renoisem, now I know I want it. Well done! Brought me back to old space sim times.

Excellent work smile

oof this sounds so good, looking forward to hear the full release!

remember this from stream. dug it then, dig it now. nice work!

I'm putting this in the "aspire to make stuff like this" category.

Really really nice, I have started and stopped learning renoise many too many times to count. This was awesome!

beautiful gift XC3N!

Happy New Year!
>>>--->Here we go again

Thank you! I worked with a friend to get things to sound better, I want to learn more on how to do this by myself in the future

Yeah I was worried it was too repetitive maybe but I listened to it endlessly while driving, to fall asleep... it never really felt old so I thought...hey maybe this isn't bad haha
Really glad to see you here again too! I will listen to your tracks soon I promise!

Hey merci!

Thanks! Yeah I was deliberately trying to keep the percussions to a minimum as this started off more of an ambient piece... but I apparently have a hard time not adding drums and 303 wink

Thanks for listening and taking the time to comment! I loooooooove old (and new) space sims haha. Keep in mind I am using Renoise here as a VST host only, no sampling or tracker-style commands. That being said, it's really efficient for me to compose in this environment, I try to use Live/Bitwig and I instantly miss Renoise's interface x_X

Thanks a lot! Like I replied to someone else, I only used Renoise here as a VST host, I grew up using trackers so piano rolls actually feel alien to me...

Oh wow, thank you so much for saying that, sometimes I don't know what to think about my work, it really touches me when I get comments like this heart

Lovely synth work. The track slowly builds up, hypnotically. Like being in orbit, watching the blinding shine of the distant sun.

It is great to have you back again, my man !!!

i was locked in while listening to this

Amazing track! Great start big_smile

Thanks for listening! Great to see you again too :3 I think it's interesting because the title came after the track, basically I felt the two tracks were two faces of a cycle and I was thinking of what I could use to illustrate that, and my gf is into the Tarot aesthethic so I ended up with the Tarot card numbers and the name for the Sun and Moon cards. Anyway, I think it's interesting how the title influences the interpretation even though it was an after thought hehe

Doing this kind of track, it's always a worry that it will get boring, tedious or repetitive... I'm glad to see it sustained your attention, it's quite a long track!

dreat wrote:

starpause wrote:

Thanks for listening! I still have your gif collection from that gig we did haha

I think I'm scared to do longer tracks because I'm so angry about internet/technology culture robbing us of attention spans.  Then I think "oh I'm not good enough to hold anyone's interest"

even worse, YouTube analytics will tell you "84% of your viewing audience turned the video off at the 43% mark" and I start spiraling!

but if you go to the dance club, the music can be REPETITIVE as HECK and everyone is just 100% focused on the music, vibing.

I feel like this composition (regardless of the composer) has a confidence where it is like, "trust me, you're going to want to follow me" so then I was sold.  Interesting food for thought - how can a composition show confidence in it's structure/length, even if the composer is neurotic!  smile

ALSO: if you haven't checked out the Axiom Verge soundtrack, I highly suggest it.

lol Ravel's Boléro is one phrase played 169 times, roughly 17 minutes -  THAT is confidence!
