Yowai shū - Weak Week.

somehow i cant seem to grasp the same vibe as 2018, where i was uber productive. maybe it's the romanticism of the past, where you forget the bad stuff.

Still, quite happy with a couple of hours of work. Thanks and credits go Growling for the guitar playing, and for a fun evening!

I agree that its hard to jump back into a particular mindset. Sometimes I find it helps to do some light journaling (I don't always keep on it but I try to), especially when you're trying to take note as to why you felt good about the results of a particular song. Could just be that back in 2018 you may have been less concerned about being "productive" than you are now and so things flowed easier? That's usually been the case for me.

All that said, I liked this. I'm a sucker for good rhythm sections, and it grooves here. The transition into the chiptunes was smooth and sounded cool. So even if you think its a weak week, take it easy on yourself! Forget that 2018 vibe, embrace that 2020 vibe smile

It seems like you're shifting genre. 2018 for you was mostly chiptune with extremely loud drums, maybe something happened in 2019 to avert you from it so now you've nothing to base off of?

I like this song though, extremely loud drums aren't my thing, but this absolutely is.

I feel like every year it just gets hard because my self expectations are that much higher...
Cool guitar riff!

something really fascinating about that lo-fi guitar sound mixed with the ultra bright chiptune sound. especially like the section when the arpeggiator lets loose

Very compelling repetition in this--particularly that acoustic loop.  Nicely done!
