nano stuff

A nanoloop mobile try. Second time I made sort of a completed track in it, usually just playing with it and not saving. Not an easy app to use.

Kick kinda sucks, probably should have used fm synth instead of pwm for it, but whatever, I'm already uploading it a day later deadline.

nanoloop -> reaper -> a bit of eq -> limiter. No effects

For some reason waveform in generated file is biased towards bottom, which adds unnecessary work for limiter. Don't know whether it's nanoloop's natural behavior or I made something wrong.

As usual critique is appreciated!

If anyone is interested in the source file, let me know, I'll upload it.

That bass is killing it. Great chill song.

cool, nice one. like the bass.

a little tip on nanoloop, try doubling the bass on a second channel and detune for fatnessss

Thanks! Originally was intended to make a krautrock-insired song with bass playing only a couple notes, but ended up kinda opposite

Thanks! Nice tip, will definitely try it!

kick sounds appropriate imo -- sort of lightweight and breezy, matches the timbre of the synth, hi-hats and snare. overall the track has a really great driving rhythm and feel, with the repeating melody acting like a polyrhythm at times

Thanks, the melody has a different rhythm indeed, it's 10/16 pattern while others are straighforward 16/16. A nice feature of nanoloop, although I don't quite understand/hear at which point these shortened patterns reset
