RIP

This is the polycarbonate guitar only version of Q-rosh "rest in peace" this week. In November 2023 I recorded a moment of guitarstrumming in a personally and globally sad situation. Today I took the original onetakeversion, combined it with two separate recordlathe experiments of it in left-right panning. Recorded it then into the Roland SP404 to adjust the tempo and pitch afterwards, because my record cutter runs to slow. This final mix is not a pure recordlatherecording, because this week the results of cutting a groove was not satisfying enough.
I know this is hardcore lofi, but I want to explore this 80 year old technique in 2024.

That truly is hard mode lofi, but damn if it isn't well worth it. Absolutely brilliant.

Sounds great!

Beautiful guitar and effect playing! I wanted to say this reminds me of Q-Rosh, nice to see I guessed the right inspiration you mentioned big_smile

love this sound, beautifully done

mesmerizing. absolutely love this aesthetic. combining the original recording with the lathe cut versions is *chef's kiss*

So interesting to hear the different "character" in this version, not right or wrong, both are rewarding to listen to.

I am really happy that I found some hardcoreenthusiasts for this kind of passion I have.
Million thanks and best regards, Q-rosh

This is just as good as another piece, love hearing it! Thanks for all you do

I feel, emotionally speaking, these two songs paint a contrasting picture, calm exterior, troubled interior kind of deal.
