holiday melancholy ( rainy version )

By Wilcox Raw-Cats on July 28, 2024 4:58 pm

This was recorded, arranged and mixed on the first day of my holidays. the weather turned out to be very bad. it is raining cats and dogs. nevertheless I am sitting in a dry house, only go for a walk with Paula. this track became a little bit melancholic in the end, I don`t know why. I asked my daughter to play violin for this track and she was doing it in the right mood. greetings and kisses to her. then my friend m2K7 came by and helped me to finish the arrangement. we were discussing a lot and he always said, that I was deleting too many nice moments, but I had to clean up a lot of layers and recordings from this track. I finished with 3 different mixes. there was a clean gluecompressor version, a tapesimulation version and a version with raindrops on my roofwindow (which I recorded with the iphone the same night). the last version was used for my Wilcox Raw-Cats weeklybeats account and contains the raindropping and the vintage recordlathelofihissandhum. And here we are. lets go....

also beautiful in this form. like hearing memories take shape in real time.
simultaneously makes me feel more human and more alien
