Apologies for the quality. The song is on the quieter side.

I rushed to record and mix this in about 40 minutes.
  I lost track of time.

Couldn’t find a piano I was happy with when I went to record this so I had to record my Casio tone keyboard with my phone. That’s the tinny piano towards the middle.

The rest is performed on a hydrasynth explorer. I’m using reaper but did not have the time to mix this.

I’ve been working on evolving ideas over time. Worked on this throughout the week and this is where it ended up.

That's a vibe even if the recording is what it is - scramble in the last 40 mins sounds even worse than what I went through! Glad you were able to upload.

The Casio makes it even spookier. It was calming but a bit ominous before it went into full murder scene with that one cutting note.

Thanks for taking a listen!

As I've been going through all the songs on the platform I'm noticing a lot of us have procrastination in common 😂

woah, the dark synth pads are cool as fuck. agree with monstret too it's kind of a vibe being recorded like that!

Deep dread in this one. Love that revolving, glowing bass/brass combo. The distant perc and circling piano feel very vulnerable (and I *like* how bright the piano is, good contrast with the dark intro). But my favorite bit is the chord cluster/swarm in the last third, an extended alarm for a situation that feels inescapable

The swell at the end is such a good tool to increase the tension, love the details like the slight pitch modulation

The track is over  since a minute and my ears are still somehow waiting for something to crack or bang open - this is film music!

I worry that I use the word "cinematic" too often, but there's no helping it here―this is a track the just makes you feel and see things.

I actually love how the recorded keys sounds. Adds a haunting element to it.

Definitely could use a boost, but it's pretty

Funny enough the cluster swarm thing was just something I randomly threw in, not sure where it came from- I had been developing the piano all week and that part just kind of came out of no where when I started recording.

For what it’s worth, I think it’s a good use of the word here. Thanks 🙏

Something about the piano just calls to me. Nothing can sound quite like it. I’m not sure why but there’s usually a haunting element to everything I make. Thanks for listening ❤️
