Vignette n.1

I'm giving myself an easy out for a few weeks with this naming convention. I've been messing around in an altered guitar tuning all week and coming up with ideas but I have no idea which ones I want to pursue for full songs. This was a nice little diddy I came up with but I didn't really see it being more than what it was, so it's like a micro-song where I just loop it and call it a day. I added some bass and drums to try to add some other dimension to it but eh.

Unfortunately it's another migraine day. Shit's like clockwork. I'm fine all week and the moment I try to chill and get some R&R, boom, weekend ruined. Fortunately it's an extended weekend because of the holiday so I hope I'm better tomorrow.

Oh, speaking of which, I'm going to see Coraline in theaters tomorrow smile. I love that movie and so does my wife, so it's cool to be able to see it on the big screen. Woot!

Sorry to hear about the migraines. The tracks you’ve managed to put out despite them have been awesome - this one included. And neat to hear about Coraline, that movie’s amazing!

Oh man... Coraline in theaters sounds awesome.  Such a great movie... definitely my favorite LAIKA film.  I got to see a bunch of the models and sets for Coraline at the Seattle Museum of Popculture last year, it was pretty awesome.  Sorry to hear about your migraine, hopefully you still got some R&R time in.

I really like this track, the progression loops so nicely... seems like a really good candidate for some game score style vertical loops... like if you find another pattern (or two) that fits over (or under it) that is like 2 or 3 bars longer so the loops don't line up perfectly to pull the whole thing out a bit... I'm definitely getting like "The First Tree" energy... some kind of sprawling open world story based adventure... and I can see how the core loop for this would be the seed for like "traveling" music maybe into "combat" or like quite story moments with interludes like how you end it.  Dope little vignette though.

just lovely playing, really dig the acoustic stuff you do. could listen to this for an hour, but also it's really nice as a vignetter.
hope the migraine faded and you were able to at least get a little chill time in.

Coraline - like the movie based on the Neil Gaiman's book?
I enjoyed this track a lot. Do you use this naming convention to remove some of the pressure of trying to make good tracks? There is nothing to be shamed about this track at all, and it's great if you can make more tracks without stress. Best recovery with the headache!

Super crispy guitar sound, very tight timing, and an interesting progression. Two thumbs up!

Bass and guitar talk nicely over that progression!
