I don't know if I'll stick with it but I had an idea to try to create my own soundtrack for The Binding of Isaac as an exercise. I have my doubts about maintaining a 13 week streak of tunes for that game but maybe I could do it for a month or something.

The Binding of Isaac is simultaneously goofy, spooky, and depressing, so I think there's a lot of different approaches to the music. I figured I'd do something kind of sparse and downtroden for the menu music and then try my best to kick up the mood into something you could bop to whenever I do the music for the first floor.

Sounds like a plan! Really love these dueling arps with nothing else to clutter their space!

I love the revolving/cyclical feel of the arpeggiations here, like meandering through an unfamiliar space with a familiar sense of adventure smile

It starts a bit like detective music in a cyberpunk universe. The choice of the sparse bass is really good at the start. The buildup of the bass melody makes for an interesting effect. I like that track a lot. I am not familiar with The Binding of Isaac, might have to check it out.

Beautiful synths, nice bass tone over it. I quite like that. And this is ballsy low end. Big low end for big balls... wink

this melody and sound greats its a theme

I like the mid section where the bass drops out then comes back in. Nice little changeup there. I haven't listened to this week yet, but I'm interested to find out if you are keeping with the soundtrack theme.

I'm tuning in a bit late, but the prompt sounds fun - and it sounds like you're executing on it pretty well!
