Man cutting it super close this week (2 minutes until deadline! AHHHH!!!!!!!)

This is an older song I wrote, maybe like 8 or so years ago? I never recorded it though, so I figured for an easier time this week I'd trying to bring this idea to fruition. Also it's a good excuse to practice more singing. The lyrics are about a servant of Dionysus waiting for her god to come take her to the afterlife.

Wow! This sounds amazing. The acoustic guitar sounds great, both recording and performance-wise. Your vocal performance fits the tone of the song perfectly. I love the instrumental break at 1:30. The rolling acoustic arpeggios are magical. I like the orchestration in the second half. The electric guitar adds a nice dimension as well. I really like this one! Awesome job! The "dipped in the tail of a comet" line is my favorite.

I am so glad you did not miss the deadline. Either, I would have waited another week for this brilliant track, or it would have never appeared. this is really a WOW!!track.

After listening multible times, I got the connection to Billy Corgans vocal and melodic best work. that is hopefully a compliment for you.

This is beautiful. The vocal harmonies are very well done.

One of my favorite of yours for sure so far. Love the "simplicity" of the arrangment and the mix (Beautiful reverbs and acoustic guitars sounds massive)

Absolutely―this is one of those surprises I've grown to love about WB, where the weekly playlist pops up a standout track that sounds like nothing else (in this case: sound/performance with an involuntary-intake-of-breath-the-moment-it-starts quality)―and it turns out to be from artist you already like and (think you) know, just trying something a bit different this week.

You've mentioned in your profile that you want to focus on mixing and singing this year―that is clearly working out here.  It's beautiful! cool

This is a great idea and enough space to reflect, fav

Wow that is really an impressive piece. The acoustic playing and recording is very good, the mix makes it shine while not overpowering anything and does not make it conflict with the voice. I like the somber melodies, the whole composing and very nice singing. That's a really nice track, i'll fav it and come back to it several more times. Really really good.

Favoriting and downloading, this is great.

(Kudos on the final chord, works AF.)
(Fourth stanza of the lyrics — the bass on “this is where” is particularly satisfying.)
(Third stanza’s not repeating is brilliant, excellent writing.)

The guitar part is mesmerizing! It's more of an acoustic prog metal track to my ears. vocal has a nice melody and sound, and the irregular breaks are so good! they sound super tight, it's hard to imagine how you come up with this but it must be similar to a prog rock/metal track.

I had to listen to it buncha times to suck it in. love it!

Not sure I'm a fan of the synth string sound, as always it's hard to get it to sound less than cheezy and in this track it's not meant to be cheezy I guess. But the arrangement is nice!

I love the acoustic guitar in this track. It’s fantastic, and the vocal melody is a really, really nice fit for it. Really glad you kept at it, even if it was 8 years in the making.

Wowza, I have to agree with all the comments before me.

Interested to hear more about what you did in the mix for this one. It all sounds so good. I agree with saguaro about the comet line being good, I also liked "solace in sore hands".

Excellent guitar work and your vocals sound awesome.  Getting all sorts of Elliott Smith & Sufjan Stevens vibes.  Also agree with Q-Rosh on the Corgan feels.  I like how the second section fades in like the curtain is being pulled back on the story.  Well done!

Well amazing for short notice as it's great anyway.  Reminds me mildly of some Opeth type stuff.  Very cool.

tell me where I can give you money for this album wow.

wow, that pause at 1:27 was devastating!  wowowowowow.  seeing a whole new side of you here.
