After a long and busy work shift I had a nice project on my mind, with 2 nice weekend days to complete it.

I managed to sell one of my synths and was carefully sampling it before sending it to the new owner. I went into the rabbit hole of "preserving the waveforms" while getting more and more annoyed by the tedious process.

Long story short: it's Sunday night and I have some cool presets and samples, yes, but not even a glimpse of a song...

I close everything and fire up Ableton, so I made this simple beat just using my personal presets, in one hour and a half sharp, from scratch. No hardware or precious "carefully sampled waveforms"... just one synth, one drum set and a couple of previuosly built loops that seemed to fit tonally.

I know it's quite simple and maybe quite dull, but I'm satisfied how quickly I could build the whole arrangement.

Now I think I should go to bed and forget about synths for a few hours wink

Please be safe and take care of yourselves, WB family. Lots of love from Spain.

The drums sound really nice on here. I dig that short resonant burst on the kick sound and the big reverb on that snare at the end of a pattern. The melodic interlude in the center is really nice, especially during the pauses.

I like the focus that the constraint on this track seems to have brought. There is of course a lofi vibe but I thought this is to the benefit of the track. The beat with the snare with a delayed effect and the laid back synth melody are really cool. I can imagine that as the background beat to a cool hip-hop track.

I really love the sounds here, good job on capturing them, also the bass drum sequence is great

I enjoyed this a lot. the overall vibe is like waking up in a beautiful place and not knowing what the day is going to be like. that "pounding on a large sheet of plastic" kick is rad; I expected it to wear on me but it ended up really tying the track together.
