Absence

This is an older song I decided to dig up for this week. I think it was started back in 2017 or so? Unfortunately, it's old enough that I lost some of the original files and only have stems, resulting in some unfortunately bad production since I can't separate certain elements or fix the FX on some of the tracks, so I tried to do what I could with it I guess. Anyways, I always enjoyed the idea behind it so I wanted to release it.

so lovely heart

Piano part lays a nice foundation. The hi-hat part is kind of mesmerizing. Tasty little bass noodles in there too. Oooh that reverb bit right around 4:00 is cool. Nice and washy, fits really well. Good job!

This gets especially pretty when the guitar kicks in. Nice work!

I second this, and add that ot reaches peak when the vox gets added.

Damn... 100% agree with that hi hat an all the other delicious and mesmerizing sounds that accompany it.

yeah, you just gotta bite the bullet on those "lost the session file" ones and rock it out.  i'm glad you did on this one because there's a good story here that deserves to be told and not lost to the netherrealm!

also a friendly reminder to everyone: back up your music!

wait are those actual vocals?  i couldn't tell - neat either way!

This track is really smooth. I enjoyed especially the section from 2:10. Smooth guitar playing, as always!

Yes agreed.  I dig the sustained guitar solo at the start.  It could be louder even I reckon but that works as a nice texture.
Again, there's a lot of great ideas in the song.  Very cool.
