Just Past The Garage

This ended up a bit straighter than I wanted really, fancied something a bit less ... nice, I don't know. Anyway, it's a track and that's what matters.

This is so nice and chill! I just had it playing while I was writing an email, really nice vibe smile

Loving the warbly tape vibes. Cool sequence of chords, they really make some interesting movements.
Nice and laid back beat to keep things chill.

Cheers. I have to say I find a lot of pop music melodically unadventurous. I'm not saying it has to be prog-jazz levels of crazy, but just a little difference in the chords. Listening to this I think I did something like that, even if I wasn't fully intending to.

I agree about the chords, it didn’t go where I thought it would! Nice!

This is great, super laid back and the chords go in some interesting directions.

I'd be interested to know what the progression is.

Oh yeah this is definitely a repeat listen for me!

I like nice, nothing wrong with nice. Nice songs are nice.

Really nice and interesting melodical choices. All the patches are quite elegant and punchy.

Would really like to see your library of patches.

Do you usually turn those VCV Rack instruments into sampled instruments? Or are they all MIDI controlled instances?

I don't always use VCV, this one is made in Renoise. I try and tag what software I use on each of these btw.

I prefer VCV for free-flowing sounds, Renoise for songs.

Oh, I use Cardinal (the all open source cousin of VCV) almost always inside Renoise, just as instrument. They both behave quite well together smile

And yes, I noticed your more "freeform/drony" stuff is made in VCV Rack... now I understand: patched AND sequenced in VCV
