learned:
-my tape deck is maybe too noisy to make music. maybe only use as background hiss
or on a single quiet track (shaker or foley zB)
-push mic in at least one (perc, acoustic guitar) track to get light hiss
-use wires plug on one track with light mix % (acoustic guitar)
-glue compression on (perc) groups and master
-EQ high passes on all tracks but bass are important. also carve room for vox in mids
-running percs and vox through my amp seem to be the way to go. go easier on the gain esp for vox next time

try next time:
-run bass through tape deck?
-use my bass amp direct out - also try for synths
-mix bass better
-go easier on guitar amp gain gain for vox and perc

Really like the smooth ambiance on this one. Acoustic guitar sounds good to me on this one.

The technical aspects you have been dealing with, brought us a supernice piece of music, though. It has such a nice smoothness and an almost spiritual spirit, that I wish I could keep for longer time. I heared it 20 times in repeat and did not have enough of it. Please make more of this stuff.

Really dig the way the track gets built up. The bass/shaker foundation is nice, and the dreamy harmonies are a vibe.

When that guitar fades in over the bass and shaker is soooothing. This has chimes of Deerhunter, like some of your previous work that you've shared with me. Nice work!

Oh, and I love the learning log big_smile

oh this is a lovely piece!

Nice vocal layering! I like the bass sound you're getting there, both raw and real, and yet full. Beautiful dreamy track.

Really nice feel to the mix.  Sounds very organic.  I like how the percussion is a bit squishy and there's nice space for the bass and vocals.
