WB 3 - Early Mimosa (Dirtywave M8)

By Tristan Baldi on January 21, 2024 3:55 pm

Here's week 3!

Must have been stress: the track goes a bit crazy at some point.
I promised myself next week I'll go for something a bit more peaceful.

Aaaah sweet mimosa... I couldn't transcribe how much sun you bring to this cold january. Next year I'll write you a lullaby.

See you next week!

Youtube version:

Cut scene music for sure. I love the variety of synth sounds and how they both layer and get swapped out throughout the track.

Slaaaps

Good stuff.

Even the width of this track sounds epic.  tongue  There were lots of great sound design decisions throughout, and the mix just sounds incredibly balanced at all times.   I thought the short "chorus" near the end was especially cool.

Transitions are still a bit rough in my opinion, but thanks a lot for the feedback, much appreciated.

Thank you very much for the kind words! I thought it was a bit bassy on another system but it's always difficult to get it right on every system :]

nice track. I like all the different synth melodies you bring in and out. I’m imagining like a 430 am mimosa based on the way this track makes me feel.

Thanks! Pretty much yes, I have to say it is definitely an exciting mimosa wink

They're really not, they're super smooth.

Thank you!

Don't apologize, the tracks craziness is VERY much appreciated! Hahahaha...
Oh, man, that arpeggio at 0:50 is sooooo good, damn! Wonderful work with the wild percussion!!! Amazing work! I just hope the source of the stress is letting up a bit... 🫂

Aw thanks man! About the stress I have to say not really, lots of trains here and there for work. But it's like that: when I work strictly from home I complain, so... Not so bad wink
Thanks for listening!
