WB 1 - A New Adventure (Dirtywave M8)

By Tristan Baldi on January 7, 2024 2:53 pm

Here's my first track for 2024, and for WB in general!
Made with the Dirtywave M8, slightly EQd and compressed in Live.

I realized while making this I took inspiration from Celeste OST on some of the sounds. There's also a short pattern that reminded me strongly of The Cars - Drive when I listened to it again.
Not so happy with some of the enveloppes here and there but hey! Room for improvment.

Thanks for listening!

Dude that bassline that starts at 1:44 is to die for. I am eating it up!!!

congratulations on your first track it's lovely!

ha i copied the wrong gif but that one kinda works too

that was meant for you

You know, I really like the spaciousness/restraint of this track. Nicely done

wow, this is really nice. really love those leads around 1:00

Love the syncopation complexities.

Great head nodding goodness - love the octave interplay on the melody, and the way the bass follows the melody towards end.
Solid verb on that snare too.  Cheers!

Welcome to WB! The swells feel really swell. Track does a nice job of developing and staying interesting. Nice job! Keep it up.

Thanks for the kind words everybody. Really happy to be part of this this year!

1:30 to the end really got me moving, sick track, congrats

The track's intro reminded me of playing Secret of Mana as a kid.
The rest of the track def. made me go on an adventure.

Welcome to WB; I am so glad you've signed up here!  Wonderful arrangement; looking forward to weekly hoxeed over the coming year

Percussion on this is to die for. Lots to learn from listening to this.
And that bassline at 1:44 onwards...duuuuuuuuuuuude.

Awesome work! Love the feel of this one!

I for one think it's delightful all the way through, but WeeklyBeats is a great place to find the room for improvement you want.
Still been meaning to finish that game.

This is a great new adventure!

Thank you Mikey, very honoured to make a bassline that pleases the bassline master!

You're not the first one to evoque Secrets of Mana and I'm very glad you did, love that OST!
