go away migrane monster!

beautiful track - feel better heart

Seems like a very worthy replacement track.  Soothing, but with some more uplifting moments as well.  Hopefully the other idea you had will be waiting for you when the inspiration returns.  Boo to migraines.

This is so peaceful. 🫶

As someone who has started having migraines somewhat regularly (about once every 1 or 2 months), I feel your pain, friend... When they hit, you just gotta retract, hide in a room with no light or sound and brace for the storm.

I have to say, this sounds IMMENSELY beautiful. I'm super jealous of your piano skills. This feels like it tells a deep love story full of struggles and perseverance, where the ending isn't guaranteed to be a happy one. Phenomenal, I absolutely love it.
I know you're already feeling better, so I'll wish that you have a very productive and looooong stint before the migraine monster rears its ugly head again. Or better yet, that it simply never ever does!!!

Another beautiful piece of music.  Sorry the migraine punched your original idea in its face as it sounded really interesting.  It's a testament to your skills with the keys that you produced this track in a day or two.  Hope you don't need to face that monster again any time soon.

i'm always happy to hear acoustic music here. i also admire how you're able to be inspired by music from one genre and play in a totally different one. i find that difficult myself, but you're doing that beautifully.

Listen to your track in a row. I feel cozy and welcome. Hope the migraine stays away and harvest of your intentional project will be rich. I am curious how your accompaniments will be.

Thanks for your beautiful pianos. Your War Is Not Over is such an evocative title as well.

Take care, those migraines are the worse.

Sorry about your migraine, but glad it diverted you to this little gem of a piano solo.  The tone of those keys is perfect for this evocative and dynamic improv.  Such a satisfying journey through your creative flow.  Highlights of this track are the hard stop and change-up at 1:41 and the sweet cadence of those upper register notes that starts around 2:25. Would love to know what piano patch you used for this. Did you play it on your Roland?  I’ve already listened to this several times.  Well done.

agh, so frustrating when out bodies don't play along. i'm glad you were able to get the migraine under control and still had enough gas in the tank to bust out this gorgeous track.
i always love your more layered sonic experiments, but it's also a lovely contrast to have pieces like this that are more unadorned and allow your expressive playing to come through so directly. thank you!
also, the nice thing about your original idea is that it will be there waiting if you ever decide to jump back in. and it sounds like you've done a lot of the heavy lifting already  smile

Oof, I'm laying in bed right now with my laptop with a migraine so I quite literately feel your pain. But your music is the perfect kind of music for migraine relief, haha. Just some chill instrumentals that I can just zone out to and let the melody guide me. But for real, it really sucks to try to write while in pain. Here's to being migraine free for the next week! Take it easy!

Another solid entry, it is weird how that inspiration can come and go, don't know what the secret is to always be able to tap into it for all things in life.  Beautiful piece of music, glad you stuck with it.

Feeling some calm from this, nice and chill mood. Damn that migraine monster messing things up! Cool you listened and noodled to WB submissions, I often get ideas from listening here too. I'll check out your inspiration link, multiple arp swirlings sounds very nice.

Hiya thanks for the kind comments and listening.  The piano patch I mainly use is called "Superb Grand" on the Roland RD700GX.  Back when I saw Nine Inch Nails touring way back in the early 2000s I saw him using that particular keyboard for piano on tour.  So when I saw the same gear used nearby I couldn't pass it up.  The keyboard has a ton of good acoustic and pad sounds but I mainly use it for the Piano and E.Pianos.  smile

Migraines sound terrible sad hope things are better lately. This is a beautiful track. I really appreciate your ability to bring a simple progression to life. 2:28 feels like a big deep breath and exhale.

Shame about the migraine, but glad you still managed this, it's very relaxing
