I didn't know your fam was from New York, that's cool! Congrats to the Knicks, Bucks didn't even MAKE the playoffs so i've been ignoring the whole thing
But it was awesome when we won, it really brings everyone together and we need that.
Going to have to try Hibiscus - I only bought SleepyTime Tea because of the bear and then I never drank it. not much of a tea drinker despite being from Sri Lanka, where most of the world's tea is from!
beautiful peace/piece
hugs
I sometimes have mixed feelings about the importance our society places on sports, but there's no doubt one of the best parts of them is how they can bring a community together. There is something about this that does bring connotations of New York. Like it has elements of some of the famous songs about New York. Glad the hibiscus tea seems to be helping you out!
really nice melody and chord changes, Wizard!
i also didn't know yr fam is from NY
hooray for hibiscus ![]()
I like the hopeful and slightly vintage sound of this track. Soothing and it sounds like a spring morning.
Lovely. Honestly sounds like the opening theme to Cheers if it wasn't a comedy lol - that warm, old bar feel. And I love hibiscus tea. Very nice cold too!
piano sensei, another amazing tune. neon liminal's comment resonated with me regarding cheers. it does sound like a good theme for a perfect evening with friends and loved ones.
also very happy to hear your tea story.
I am not a tea guy, but it is fine!
Great chords. Nice feel.
Take care!
Lovely wistful tune.
Needs to be over a sepia toned recap of someone learning things from his dad as a kid intercut with packing up his house after the funeral.
What does the world need right now? More bittersweet piano waltzes like this one. Beautiful work! Also loving the Bacharach vibe of the second half. Very moving piece!
Fantastic tribute to our beloved team, great one to listen too and think back about the past and spending time with friends and family. I would have thought you were a Heat fan but makes sense about your heart being in New York. Knicks and Heat had some great battles back in the day Mourning vs Ewing, Hardaway vs Starks (greatest hype man of all time). I'm in Edmonton so really could have cheered for any team back in the 90's but I was always drawn to the gritty tough style of the Knicks, they were the only team that could challenge the Bulls back then. I do love how sports can bring people together, I watched game 5 with 3 of my friends, we all watched the last finals game of the Knicks 27 years ago together, it was great to experience this win with them.
Chill piano workout! Congrats on the Knicks win. I gave up following basketball years ago, but was happy for some long time suffering fans. Wifey has been making hibiscus tea for a few months now. We turn it into iced tea. Highly recommended if you need to mix it up here and there.

+1 on those words. Loving those Herb Alpert / Bacharach vibes around the 2 minute mark.

Yes, "bittersweet" is a good description. A touching piano piece
Great news on the tea!!! I hope your streak keeps going!
Those piano chords are as soothing as always to my ears. Wonderful work!
Also a sensational win for the Knicks!! It was heartwarming to see such joy around it.

Yeah I started way back with Ewing and Starks. Relished in those victories over the Heat. Anguished when Lebron went to the Heat. Thought maybe when we got Melo? But then even this team I didn't expect to do it so fast. I thought they might need another year. I've watched the game 4 highlight a zillion times
Thanks for the nice comments, go Knicks! \m/
I always keep some rosehip & hibiscus tea in my cupboard, it has helped many a time when I've felt something in my throat and has stopped the flu from developing further. Glad to hear it seemed to help you too.
And glad to hear this wonderful playful melody!
